Surprised to not see any line-up changes. Ethan Read nabbed a goal but he looked overawed by some of the pressure and big body defenders at times. Thought it would be good experience to carry into a spell at VFL level. Prefer Luko forward, too. Oh well, it's not like the extra AFL experience will be bad for his development.

Pretty terrified of what Hawthorn's small forward line could do to us, however. Ginnivan always a candidate for a big game.
Don't mind it, hate only putting in players for a single game then taking them out again, give Read a run of games then if he is still struggling you can move him back to the VFL then.

Love what Dimma has brought to the club , positive vibes in abundance.
I do however have a couple of concerns.
1 Not playing a small or medium size defender to play on opposition small forwards
could lead to obvious problems starting today. Ginnivan Moore Hardwick.
2 Honestly have no confidence in Lukosius as a defender. Yes his kicking is a weapon but is poor one on one
in marking duels and rarely ever tackles.Much prefer as a roaming half forward.
Will be there tonight with the grandkids hoping for a good win.;

Agree that is looks unbalanced without another small/medium defender, replace one of the talls.
Which probably means that Dimma doesn't think we have anyone who can play that role well enough to be best 23 in a Dimma style team.

Buderick out, Sexton out, Swallow to the sub, Lemmens not tried, DMac and Long sent elsewhere.

First Luko sent back, then Mac back in and Flanders sent back. All bring something positive to the table that the others don't, even if we look too tall.

Agree. Lukosius had really started to find his feet at a fwd last season. 39 goals as the 3rd tall fwd was a great return. And no reason he couldn’t pass the 50 goal mark as he continues to improve.

A King, Lukosius & Walter fwd line is a good mix.

A King and 2 x 1st year players is not.

We have enough depth in defence to not have to play Luko there. Hardwick’s ****ed this one up I reckon.

We were expected to win the first 2 games.

Enjoy Mini GF and find the strength to stay until the very end regardless of what will happen. That's what I always do :)

Suns by 30+.
Agree, i was expecting wins against

Richmond with no Lynch
Adelaide with no Walker
Hawks with no Lewis

Suns 60+

Looking forward to Ginnivan getting 4 goals from direct frees for high tackles
Because we know the umpires love to use Carrara to even up the Melbourne bias ledger

Yeah, you know it’s coming. Hopefully we keep it up the other end for the majority of the game

We're guaranteed to finish this round inside the top 8 should we win this one, regardless of the scoreline. Personally, I'd really like to see the boys finish strong tonight after a few weeks of questionable second half efforts in a row. Hopefully we can get the W and preferably by more than 30 points so our percentage is back in the positive. After all the positive press we've received this week, it'd be nice to show everyone that we're worthy of a top 8 spot and that we've kicked more points than we've conceded. Would really like to stay undefeated at home this season as well.
