Just a reminder of the 2015 shit show to fire you up before Friday

I was there, The umpire getting in Hartletts way that ended up costing us a goal + the Hoon mark that didn't count that cost us the game sent me over the edge.

Home games we should never lose, period!..... BUT stranger things have happened.

Can not afford to drop this game. Lose this, then we don't deserve to be in the finals.

Lock this one in as a win for Port.

Carlton actually has a good backline and a decent midfield. But their forward line is non existent. I'm not sure Carlton can score over 100 this year, and I think the only wins they will get is against other low scoring teams or games that are played in bad weather.

If it's a clear night with no rain, Port should win comfortably.

I was there as well. There was the Arnfield play on advantage, oops kicks a point, bring it back, goal.

But I also recall Ebo playing on from a mark before he had taken the ball. Schulz missing from the goalsquare.

But that free kick count apparently made no difference according to the blues supporters.

Yeah that game was fixed. No umpire has before or since called back a mark as a ball up because they didn't want to allow a shot at goal.

Can't recall them calling back a missed shot at goal after a player has played on either.

Even Dunstall was amazed that Armfield got a second crack.

Reading all the dickheads on here and on Reddit justifying a lot of the bullshit umpiring decisions.

Armfield retaking his kick after playing on and missing was the wrong decision and the AFL said it was wrong.

The inexplicable ball up after "touched" was wrong, it's debatable that it even was touched, the nearest umpire paid the mark, but the one 50m away called it touched after two Carlton players pleaded to him that it was touched - that cost us the game.

And all the other missed calls, like Pittard being tripped and Wingard having his arms chopped during a contested mark.

Still to this day the worst officiated game I've ever seen.

Bannister... hard to imagine that he was a better player than he was an umpire, cos he was a shit player.
Is this the guy you are talking about?

Is there a similar video of North @ Bellethieve so that we can all reminisce about 38-15.
I can't recall as many decisions that were so blatantly wrong in that game though. Lop-sided counts do happen and sometimes it's due to the AFL making a rule change that one side hasn't picked up on yet. I remember we were caught holding the ball quite a few times because the prior opportunity rule had just started and umpires were counting 1 step as prior opportunity. The Roos had read up on this rule change and just knocked on the ball instead of grabbing it.

The North game was more just them being paid every possible free kick known to man all day.

The Carlton game was a mixture of that, our players being brutalised (see R.Gary) without penalty, poor calls on marks, umpire interference in the play (umpire blocking Hartlett's kick, the Armfield play on shambles, the Colquhoun non mark), etc. Never felt so cheated out of a game.

Last year was fair by comparison. They just got a bunch of holding the ball frees, which is to be expected as the home team (except if you're Port lolololol).
