I think they'll come though this week..
When Scoopsroy needs a solid from another newsbreaker, he turns on the batdog symbol. And there's only one hero out there who answers the call... Scoopsrocker. He's the hero the SC Forum doesn't deserve, those silly tail-chasing motherpuppers. Game recognize game :fist: (Cheers, mate, good gear.)

Setterfield > Ryan / JVR
Liam Jones > Stewart

Cows are still mooing, Stewart is ripe, and Setters has a BE of 85 with some injury niggles hanging about.

Young is a HOLD IMHO.

You know he will eventually come good. As a previous Ryan owner, Ryan will start spuudding a few games soon enough and Young will be the gatherer of the leftover Chips.
Can’t keep waiting - Young is just awful atm- can always bring him back in once he starts showing something, just too costly keeping him atm losing valuable points/cash

So I have this absurd idea, I want to put it out there to some of your beautiful minds.

I have every week 28 players playing, which is great, only two that missed this week were constable and madden. It's good for cash gen, but my issue I'm having is the fact I have to guess every week who will be the highest scoring rookie as I have no loophole option anywhere but the back line.

Now I'm thinking of downgrading Mackenzie to a 102k mid/fwd who will not play in order to get me another loophole option and it'll also give me approx 191k in the bank enough to upgrade a rookie to a potential keeper/big stepping stone.

I could always go Mackenzie to JVR and have that cash gen, but I won't have that loophole I need in the mids.

I'm not playing league this season, just worrying about rank, currently got 34 trades left.

I value most of your posts and opinions hence why I want to ask here, cheers, kenties

I’ve pressed the button on this and will let it sit for a while.

It's still sitting well this morning. Am considering Wilmot to Michalanney as well. Thoughts kentlemen?

This is my team as it stands.

Weighing up three options for Cunnington, who has to go.

1. Pickett. Popular here, but I dunno. Think he'll be inconsistent, and that 144 will only affect one price rise. Still at his starting price is a plus.

2. Rankine. Has starred the past two weeks. Going better than Laird at the moment lol. Only about 25k more than his starting price. Tempting.

3. Downgrade to van Rooyen, wait a week, and turn a dead rookie into Cogs.
This plan will mildly backfire if Cogs goes too well and he doesn't fall in price as much as is expected.

Head says be patient and grab a genuine premo, heart says let's get on the Rankine train

Ginbey D4
Wilmot D5
Cowan D6

Ginbey might be rested
Wilmot might be dropped
Cowan might be dropped
I just need these campaigners to cling on for more ome more week then can move Ziegull and Sheezgull down back.

But we all know the SC Gods are spitefull so expect at least two of them out.

Yeah I don’t mind this idea, very handy to have loopholes come finals time. Only issue is when you have a late out and then no cover, that stings.

I’d go with my heart.

Where do I start with this dump of a team?
Docherty, Ridley, Marshall and Laird have all been failed starting picks.

Currently ranked 65k. I had a similar starting position last year ranked in the 60k’s and played the long game to finish top 500.

Marshall 6th for rucks total score with Nankervis now out for the long haul too. Two of them (Darcy and ROB) were 50k more than him. He’s getting very harshly marked around these parts. He’s not the best pick but he’s not a concern.

Your priority should be the midfield but you’re not getting Piggy anytime soon. I’d say look at a 500-550k mid as you can’t carry all 3 rookies on field for much longer. De Goey or risk a response from Brayshaw type. Other option could be a forward and swing Dunkley into the mid just to get some rookie relief from those 50s - Coniglio, Pickett, Moore, Cameron.

Of course that's the issue I'm having as well.

Tempted by this. Fixes my backline quickly but weakens my midfield (Taranto goes back forward)

Setters > Florent probably wont be made. Likely i just do Ziebs & Campbell > Dawson & Fahey

Florent has 7 100s in 122 games. There’s been plenty of chips in the Swans backline but I can’t see them going Lloyd 104 Florent 102 Rampe 102 Blakey 90 all year - kick ins are going to switch around etc. obviously Rampe the most prime candidate to go downwards but I can see all of their chips reducing.

Looking at tooserious, at worst (Florent going ~110) you get Florent with another weeks evidence and he’s only 470k. Still great value for a defensive keeper and that’s 3/5 100s plus strong floor. Evidence starting to mount. No need to rush in on it.

Setterfield still going well in my opinion. No point trading out a mid pricer who has risen 100k for another one. Setterfield is used to jump to a hard to get premium only.

As for the other 2 - Ziebell out? Tracking to be a keeper still. His BE still lower than his lowest score for the year. Hall sub 20 touches in VFL this week, Ziebell chips to continue. Fahey not even named and even if he is, his scoring may not be the same at AFL level with Ash & Shitfield in the side too.

Dawson is great but I don’t think either of the trades to try get him make sense.
Surely just a plateauing rookie down to a 123k rookie (~130k profit), puts you in the ballpark of going Campbell to guys like Redman, Dale, Lloyd, Baker who are all D6 contenders and valuable upgrades in the meantime.

I get the concerns around Wilmot - personally I think he’s the type a coach would love and will keep in, especially after a win - but I can’t see how Wilmot to Michalanney is a smart call long term.

I have both but got Max at 136k.

He’s now 244k. A trade is worth ~150k as a rule of thumb. To go Wilmot to Max costs you 30k. So you need 180k out of Max.

Do you think he gets to 420k? I doubt it.

Personally also would forgo the Cogs sideways trade as frustrating as the prick can be and focus on a 3rd def premium. Even if it’s Cogs to a defensive premo, your mids are stronger.

Cheers.

You're looking at ditching Cogs, yeah?

It must have been frustrating owning him the past couple of weeks
For me it is, you know he can score well and consistently as well these performances really kick ya in the guts. Knowing he's automatically a top 10 fwd makes it harder to trade him out.
