After Round 5 .....for Round 6

KFC SuperCoach AFL: Contenders for dual-position status before round 6 revealed

Two star Western Bulldogs midfielders are pushing for DPP status in KFC SuperCoach — including one who looks locked in for round 6. See the key numbers and expert analysis here.

HOW RELEVANT IS IT? Sheezel is a lock to be DEF-FWD heading into round 6, which could open up a FWD spot for coaches who want to go after Stephen Coniglio or another fallen premium in attack. You could station one of Sheezel and Ziebell at either end of the ground for DEF-FWD swing, too. It’s a big opportunity for KFC SuperCoaches and could open up trade possibilities in coming rounds.

Paywalled... who are the two Bulldog players?

Why is Stewart considered cheap atm? With the drop in the MN to ~5150 he's priced higher than his starting price. Currently at around 110 avge for his price

Cheers.

You're looking at ditching Cogs, yeah?

It must have been frustrating owning him the past couple of weeks

I don’t like what I’m seeing from him so I’m ditching him. Wish I’d never traded him in!

But I’m happy to turn him into piggy. He’s priority for me.

First preference this week is to bring in JDG while he's still affordable. Leaves me with a midfield that's pretty acceptable for going into round 5.

However, I expect there will be defence carnage during the week, with Ginbey rested and Day suspended.

In which case I have a further two options in mind:

2) bring in King Gull as D3 instead of JDG. Lloyd's looked great thus far, he's still competitively priced, but my main hesitation is that I'm not all that confident that Horse will keep the Swans defence structured this way throughout the season, which means Gull might not be a keeper after all.

3) bring in two of Michalanney, Tucker and Pickett. It would be great to be fielding less DEF and FWD rookies at this juncture and this would help short-term on that front. The glass half full take is that the recent form and role of all three justifies this decision. They're all very underpriced at present. There's also a scarcity of good DEF and MID rookies at the moment, which makes the idea of cheap midpriced cashcows tempting. However this is also the most speculative option as none of these three players have great SC history, none of them are keepers, and they're all just stepping stones that happen to help with my team's short-term scoring.

Do you understand how SC value works with the reducing MN? If a player starts at 600K and plays exactly to their average every week they do not stay at 600K
Right, no idea what MN means tbh, but regardless he isn't going to be this cheap for a while with his 18 dropping and a 167 in his scores for another few weeks

With 2 x 100s he will be 560K in 2 weeks time. Sicily will also be cheaper.

Don't get me wrong he's a good option but he's not massively underpriced, he's priced around where he should be for a 110 average going fwd

My plans for this week are pretty teams-dependent.

If all the rookies are named, it'll be either no trades, or a sideways of a dead rookie (i.e. Chesser -> Young/JVR/McVee/Ryan, or Madden -> Ryan). No rookies need immediate trading out.

If a rookie or two is rested, then an upgrade probably happens (Setterfault to Stewart, Touk or Oliver, depending on who is omitted).

The Will Day MRO outcome probably factors in, too (current non-owner, but he could solve a couple of issues).

The OG seagull seems to be travelling under the radar.
Between Lloyd, Blakey, Florent, Campbell, Rampe and Mills when he goes back there, chippies are in pretty high demand in that backline.

I've been playing religiously since 2010. This is comfortably my worst ever start to a season.
  • Under performing premos on every line
  • Started too many mid pricers that have fallen away quickly
  • Best players in my cash league got their premos right. Laird v Oliver / Docherty v Dawson etc etc ...
Want to make some moves this week.

Setterfield + Worpel > Miller/Oliver/Cripps + Van Rooyen / Samson

Then I need to decide between Docherty > Stewart/Dawson or Marshall > Grundy.

No trades

Holding Doc :moustache:
Tempted to hold on to Doc as well.

Looking at all the defenders averages right now. Hardly that many stand outs. And outside of the top 2 or 3, the next couple dozen are not far apart scoring wise. Some have been up and down, where others have been consistent without going big. A few names most would never have considered in their team at the start of the year. Feel like I need a bigger sample from all before making moves, same with the forwards.

Just worried I would make the trade, only for the player I bring in to go cold, and Doc rise up. Thus wasting a trade. Day was the one I was tempted to switch with.

With you here. + the GC game is only in his price for one more week, so even if he goes 110 this week, his breakeven will be back north of 120 or so next week.

And given how they played through him this week & that the ball may not be down there much v WCE, I don't get it either.

Do not trade Marshall out.

He's up against McStay this week in a match that will be close and in which his team will need to take advantage of his superiority. I highly doubt he gets subbed thus week.

He hasn't been going bad enough to trade out anyway, and moving him to Grundy is just giving yourself the potential to have another problem in a month when Gawn returns.

I also think you're going too early on Setterfield

So I have this absurd idea, I want to put it out there to some of your beautiful minds.

I have every week 28 players playing, which is great, only two that missed this week were constable and madden. It's good for cash gen, but my issue I'm having is the fact I have to guess every week who will be the highest scoring rookie as I have no loophole option anywhere but the back line.

Now I'm thinking of downgrading Mackenzie to a 102k mid/fwd who will not play in order to get me another loophole option and it'll also give me approx 191k in the bank enough to upgrade a rookie to a potential keeper/big stepping stone.

I could always go Mackenzie to JVR and have that cash gen, but I won't have that loophole I need in the mids.

I'm not playing league this season, just worrying about rank, currently got 34 trades left.

I value most of your posts and opinions hence why I want to ask here, cheers, kenties
Mackenzie is a good player who will score relatively well I believe. I like the idea, but sacrificing your M8 for a loop, where your bench options probably aren't much better, I would look for a different omission.

E.g. trade out Baker or Davey/Long if you have them instead of Mackenzie.
