I've gone from "Best Day Ever" with my Docherty replacement clinching a tight league victory, to "This Day Can't Get Any Worse" following the 2 week suspension.

My defence once we get past Dawson and Naicos remains weak until the Sheegull brothers get DPP. Day was my D3 but then it's Ginbey and 2 of McVee, Wilmot and Cowan. Can I really survive on those scraps for 2 whole weeks? Or do I look at a defender with some cash gen left in him like Buckley, which may free up cash to convert a forward rookie to Pickett?

Dawson. Getting some decent mids minutes and when in defence ball should more reliably be back there. Geelong arguably still more competition for gulling activity with Tuohy and Duncan.

Not too much, after all Stewart has still scored very well with Duncan playing half back. But for me it feels like Dawson should be "the man" for Adelaide just about every week. Especially with the midfield minutes.
