Trades Round 5 Trades - Contenders for dual-position status

Not too much, after all Stewart has still scored very well with Duncan playing half back. But for me it feels like Dawson should be "the man" for Adelaide just about every week. Especially with the midfield minutes.

Stewart was tagged a bit at the back end of last year .

Teams will prob put work into Dawson .
Larid still going to get it under a tag .
Dawson pegs are more dangerous than the little man's little fists.

Rock dog doing the night shift again.
Scoopsroy worries about the future of this board if Rocklobster starts pulling back on the night shifts.
Would be carnage, pricks trading in Relton Roberts Jr left, right and centre.
Feels a bit like we're the Catters and the other boys are all still living off the premiership.
**** all urgency, no want, no-one prepared to put their melon over the fantasy footy.
Fish rots from the head, rocker, need.to see our leaders start to ****ing lead.

Ben Keays could be interesting if his CBAs starting going up. He had ~50% on the weekend, but Sam Berry was rested. Worth keeping an eye on, he's a ball magnet when he's playing on-ball.

Baz Smith and Adams would become relevant if the other mids in their teams got injured (eg. Bont/Libba/Treloar for Dogs; De Goey/Pendles/Titch for Pies)

Considering dumping Ashcroft @ $309k.

BE 22. His 105 cycles out next week.

Good player, but he's not playing a very SC friendly role in a team of gun mids.

Would be shocked if he was the worst rookie you’ve got on field. You surely can hold him going from say 350 to 345 to 335 to 350k etc if he’s scoring 80 a week.
Presumably you’re fielding a Baker/Wilmot/Chandler type who won’t score as effectively.

Also got North, GWS, Freo which hopefully would be easier for him than Pies, Dogs, Dees

I'm thinking:
Davey> JVR
Doc > Stewart

It still leaves me with Uwland, Kenstable and Madden as bench donuts which seems bad. I've over traded so I really need Docs replacement to be a keeper, and all the <560k DEF I can afford look a touch dodgy to me (Don't really want Dale, Redman has a tough run coming up, Rioli looks good but not sure if he's a keeper).

Second option:
Uwland > JVR and Doc > Rozee
Not that excited to get Rozee, much prefer Stewart in DEF but he should be a FWD keeper and lets me fix Uwland.

What would you guys do?

Thinking

Docherty > Duncan. Not sold on Duncan’s durability but role was great.

Docherty > Lloyd

or

Davey > JVR
Docherty > Sinclair

Like Docherty to Duncan saves a trade and Davey has more mooing to do.

Almost prepared to roll the dice on Duncan after 1 week he was that dominant in the role.
The role is a concern, it's the body. Hasn't played a full season in 3-4 years and is about to be 32. Interrupted preseason too. Even if his body holds up (no major injuries), I reckon he gets rested at least twice, maybe more, throughout the year.

The carnage on the backline has begun:
Doch - injured
Day - suspended
Chesser - injured
Constable - already dropped

In some selection doubts:
Cowan
Wilmot
Ginbey

Yikes!

In the exact same bracket. Totes awks
Redman ok, but score diff wins vs losses holy *
Dan Rioli nice, but Flossy and others competing for the stale chips
Liam Baker too versatile.
Lloyd Lot of snouts at that trough week to week
Florent see Lloyd
Will Day out for now
Mitch Duncan durability suss
Haynes GWS worth some thought but risky.

They've all got spots, cheaper for a reason.
Was locked into Redman but this has spooked me.

Bombers have got the dees, pies, cats, Port (away), Lions (away), tigers in the next 6 games.

Maybe B.Dale or Lloyd. Just don't know.
