Come on guys...I have Kennedy and Lecras...think it is time to possibly bring in Cloke for one of those guys.
Cloke has just burned me one too many times over the years. Ditto with Jack Reiwoldt. Westhoff for mine.

Is it worth me bringing in the likes of Evans or Mayes this week for Viney? Was looking at holding off on trading this week but i dont want to miss one of the two if they are worth jumping on? Could even get both(Evans for Viney and Mayes for Macaffer if Caff not named). Have already used 6 trades but my side looks pretty decent(I think anyway) and everyone is playing. Do i burn another two this week leaving me with 22 and begin my upgrades next week?
Viney hasn't gone up enough yet IMO.

Ahh - I thought you were trying to swap Cox and Blicavs. You must have Sinclair or Rowe in the ruck line then =)
Still have to trade Sinclair or Rowe out for Walker tho.

Just on this issue of what a trade is worth.......this is how I see it, right or wrong.

Viney is at 193, Evans at 115.....so a Viney to Evans trade is, today, worth 80k.
BUT, becuase of Viney's 9 rolling thru the next 3 weeks, he is ~ at his average score, only going to increase 40k over the next 3 weeks.
Evans on the other hand, he averages slightly higher than Viney already, is due to increase 180k over the same period; again, if he hits his average, which again, is slighty higher than Vineys, albeit over 2 games rather than 4 games.
You're assuming Evans get's the same 80 odd points he got against GWS, 60 of which he scored in a rampant last quarter. Doubtful. He's 48 against WCE is probably more indicative. I'd stick with Viney, he'll be worth more in the long run. If you're looking to trade in the next 3 weeks, then your theory isn't too bad, but personally I'd keep Viney for 5-6, where he'll probably be higher priced than Evans, and then trade. Surely you have other rookies in the MID that you can upgrade before Viney, thus saving yourself a trade.

I did the following trade

Traded out Shaw - Move Hartlett into my backline from the mid and traded in Selwood into the mid

i'm going jenkins to Mayes as jenkins has peaked and played his role in my team (waiting for leuy to show form before trading in)

and I dont have docherty in my backline so at the moment i'm thinking of bringing him in a week early for frost (pending if he plays this week) so I have two trades available next week for possibly daw and the upgrading of moloney.

then week by week i should be able to start upgrading to complete my squad.

I wouldn't trade at all if i was you moloney will go up a touch more and viney will go up alot more as the season goes on. evans is still iffy, and not a boat the majority is jumping on. Next week docherty and daw look like better cows to chase.

If you had to do one the moloney to best premium available would be good as it keeps your next week trades for the upcoming cows

I am tempted to trade out B Hill or J Neade for Mayes ATM. I don't see what others see in Evans from MFC.
I suspect the dees will be on the end of some real hidings soon. Can't see Evans doing that well.

Who do people reckon, Hill or Neade? I have no probs really with forward or middle.

I'd trade out Hill before Neade. Purely because Neade has the lower B/E out of the two. (27 v -10)

Decided to move Josh Kennedy out for Cloke who looks to be back to his best and he has a negative break even heading into the Essendon game and he generally does well against us.

The next 2 upgrade on the agenda are getting Birchall and Buddy and when the time is right I will be ready to trade out Leuy for Maric or Jacobs.

Hi guys,

Looking for a bit of advice for this week, current team:

Backs: Duffield, Goddard, Gibbs, Goodes, Pittard, Stevenson (Terlich, Frost)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Cotchin, Murphy, Rich, Wines, O'Meara, Crouch (Viney, Kommer)

Rucks: Cox, Goldstein (Rowe, Currie)

Forwards: Franklin, A Walker, J Kennedy, D Martin, Zorko, Neade (Macaffer, Lee)

Bank $102K

Trades I'm looking at Duffield for Birchall
Rich for Mayes

This will give me $310k then with Mayes price increase would looking at trading him up for a premium mid. Any advice on this trade or recommended moves would be great :)

Take Mayes instead of Evans, but in the Midfield. Evans scored 70 odd points against GWS in the biggest quarter Melbourne has ever played in it's history. Scored 48 against WCE. Mayes scored 80+ against North. Plus, Mayes gives you FWD/MID DPP status.

Avoid sideways trades. Rich for Mayes, Stevenson for Birchall.

Don't chase cash by trading out a Premium Mid - are you bloody nuts??
