Am I crazy in thinking Kommer > Mayes is a decent idea?
Sideways but opens DPP up. Unsure if Kommer will get back in the side?

Thoughts? Cheers

great team - Taylor Walker the obvious weakest link - not sure what his break even is but if form is anything to go by he must be leaking cash rapidly

Hi guys,

Looking for a bit of advice for this week, current team:

Backs: Duffield, Goddard, Gibbs, Goodes, Pittard, Stevenson (Terlich, Frost)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Cotchin, Murphy, Rich, Wines, O'Meara, Crouch (Viney, Kommer)

Rucks: Cox, Goldstein (Rowe, Currie)

Forwards: Franklin, A Walker, J Kennedy, D Martin, Zorko, Neade (Macaffer, Lee)

Bank $102K

Trades I'm looking at Duffield for Birchall
Rich for Mayes

This will give me $310k then with Mayes price increase would looking at trading him up for a premium mid. Any advice on this trade or recommended moves would be great :)

How many trades have you used so far?

Duff with a break even of 110sih won't move far either way
Rich has a b/e of 85ish so he wont be going far either

only trade I'd consider are ditching Viney or kommer for a cash grab rookie you want.

other wise sit tight and watch the cows grazing

Don't chase cash by trading out a Premium Mid - are you bloody nuts??

What? What premium mid am I trading out? How could I trade out a mid for a forward without DPP anyway? lol

Duffield is just plodding along averaging 80's whilst Birchall is knocking out 110+ every match, I'm going Duffield to Birchall.

is that the Josh Kennedy with the following fixture?

PTA
WBD
BRL
NTH
GWS
RIC
STK

BYE

I'm forgoing the Willy Mays Hayes and Evans bandwagons and trading in 2 West Coast players for my 2 most under performing players.

Out - Nicky Dal, Taylor Walker
In - Scott Selwood, Le Cras

I am well aware of his schedule...Cloke is $100,000 more and a negative break even...so are you saying Kennedy will be around the same price as Kennedy if I was to wait?

This is the wrong place for advice as nobody explains themselves properly. So when I do ask something I leave in the same position as to what change to make.

Wasn't analyzing what you were saying with regards to position, just saw Josh Kennedy. Either way, trading out a player averaging 104 points, and currently ranked the #9 best forward in the comp, for a rookie is also crazy.

Cloke has a negative breakeven at the moment.

Port Adelaide have had an awfully easy run to start the season.

Shane Mead - I guess the Cloke sideways trade is all about how many trades you have used so far - I rate LeCras far higher than JJK in terms of overall average come years end, if you don't include Clokes monster game all 3 are averaging about 100 points a game.
So in terms of trading you could weigh it up against upcoming opponents and key defenders for Cloke v JJK.

For mind I'd sit tight but.. Over the next 3 weeks all 3 will probably rise 50-80K so in terms of a spend differential it may be worth waiting.

Good luck

Would you like us to make the trades for you, wee lamb?

Beware Hawks with Lake back - he tends to get a heap of that crappy chip around ball and certainly teams will start to man up on Birchall if they have any coaching ability at all.
But can understand why people would do the trade

Birchall is tempting, but reckon you'd be paying overs on his current 119 average/price just quietly.

Cloke has burnt many many people in the past. He's too inconsistent. That may change, but history says that with established players it generally does not. He's a risk. Cloke has averaged roughly 100 with the exception of last round's flash in the pan. Kennedy has averaged 105 but is 100k cheaper.

If you're looking to make money, there are plenty of better options around. Either you are trading for score or you are trading for money. Cloke is not the best option for either IMO and based on previous years. Kennedy is in a breakout year, similar to Dangerfield, Beams, Sidebottom etc from last year. He also plays half his games on the wide open spaces of Subiaco. Sure, I may not be right, that's the beauty of the game, but there's enough bad history with Cloke that flashes warning signs to stay well clear.

Come on guys...I have Kennedy and Lecras...think it is time to possibly bring in Cloke for one of those guys.

You didn't ask for reasoning. You didn't asked for advice. You didn't even ask a question. You made a statement. You're lucky you got a reply at all. There's no point in coming in here and making one line posts and then critising the responses you get. If you want a detailed answer, post a detailed question and specify what you'd like advice on. We're not mind readers. If you don't like the responses you get, you don't have to come here. Posting crap like that certainly doesn't encourage people to answer you next time now, does it??

Much a muchness really. Personally I'll be taking Kerridge for Sam Dwyer next week, who's just about earnt me enough.

Dwyer is roughly scheduled to rise 20-25K each week for the next 3 weeks, seems a bit premature to be trading him out. Troy Menzel in 3 weeks, Staker in 3 weeks will both be downgrade options.
Kerridge according to the Crows board has about 2-3 weeks Job Security at best..

Collingwood said the same thing about Sam Dwyer. That's the advantage of waiting another week before making the trade on the bubble :) Kerridge may well make me 160k in the 3 weeks Dwyer makes 60k. Waiting to see what happens this week. If trading this week, Mayes is a lock over Kerridge.

Ross Lyon, Brad Scott, Nathan Buckley and John Worsfold all have no coaching ability?

I would suggest given there time again manning up on Birchall would become a priority, cannot change the past but lessons can and will be learnt.
I expect to get Birchall by years end (however at present i think you are paying slight overs, however if cash and trades are not an issue then grab the Birch!

Cloke's a good buy, he costs the equivalent of 96 points and is averaging 125.

but Kennedy costs the equivalent of 77 points and is averaging 104, he is also a good buy/hold and has a favourable draw on the horizon

At present you're getting slightly more bang for your buck with Kennedy. Who else do you have to trade? Maybe there is a better option than Kennedy?

Roughead?
