Interested to hear about how Graham performed in your midfield. How many weeks did you hold him for, what was his average, high score, low score, what number mid was he e.g. M6, M7, M8?

My dilemma is currently this, I can chose any midfield premo but I have narrowed It down to this:

Sam Mitchell vs Jordan Lewis vs Steele Sidebottem vs Jack Steven vs Dan Hannebery?
I'm in the exact same situation haha.
I think Hanners is the best out of those in terms of value. He leaves a nice amount of cash compared to Mitchell or Steven. Personally, I'm not choosing him purely because I already have Titch, and just don't like having 2 from the same team in the same position. Instead I have gone with Sidebum. Due to his suspension he has about 1% ownership, which is great, plus he just knows how to get the footy -very consistent. He also loves it against the bombers which is great in terms of immediate scoring potentia (have given him the C). He was in my round 1 team but I traded him out for S Gray :$. This week I am doing that trade again but in reverse.
Mitchell and Steven are obviously very solid picks as well, but Mitchell always misses games here and there and Steven is just too much compared to what else is on offer. Don't really like Lewis either.
I'd have a like at Fyfe too if you don't already have him

I started with him. Thought he could get a high 80's average. 92, 75, 69, 50.

He is the worst of my midpricers. I made 20k but not worth it. I have him below Lambert/Sheridan/Gray in that order.

He has done a job, but he is going worse and with the role he is playing seeing less midfield time.

M7 (M6 prior to trade but some dpp) on price. I had a very midpricer team (still do) to start the season.

So many non performers last week. Yuck. Have JJ, S.Gray, Sheridan, S.Martin + others that need to go.

This week
JJ for Yeo/Fantasia. Back the solid, or bring in some extra cash? Problem is I have a midfield that needs attention and the extra cash with fantasia will help Yeo ($449) or Fantasia ($376) diff= ($73k)

Get rid of S.Gray, Sheridan or S.Martin?
Currently have gone Gray->T.Lynch (GC). How effected will Martin be after that concussion? He's bleeding cash for me.

If you're just playing league rather than shooting for max points total then get on players like Fantasia. Make money early and upgrade later to ensure you finish top 8. Fantasia has a break even of 12 this week and an average of 97. Sure to score more than 12 so his value will continue to go up, enabling more cash for true premo upgrades once the rookies start to tire later in the season. If he keeps scoring 80+ then keep him. With injuries and premium letdowns there's usually enough to keep your two trades a week tied up.

Give S Gray one week. Port had a bad week but expect fireworks this week with the bad press. If he doesn't perform this week he will be on my chopping block.

My goal is to finish the season with best ranking possible. Currently on 1172. But was 4th after Rd 2 so I'm on the slide

Got a few options this week, would appreciate some advice :)

Option 1:
Barlow (via Adams) -> Biggs/Suckling
Sheridan -> Yeo

Leaves me 19000-21000 cash and a pretty sorted backline, with Laird, Yeo, Suckling/Biggs, Shaw, Kolo and Dea. Wouldn't have to worry about that until Dea maxes out.

Option 2:
Papley -> Hunt
Smith -> Naitanui

Leaves me 26k and a ruck division I don't have to worry about. My issue with this is that I could wait until I have more cash and upgrade to Goldy.

Option 3
Barlow (via Menadue) -> Sam Mitchell
Papley -> Hunt

Leaves me with 6k. The issue here is that option 1 seems so attractive with those 450k players and I'd be paying a premium for perma-captain Mitchell at the moment. The alternative to this is get Zerrett, and then swap back with Menadue.

I'm not sure on Yeo. I'd rather someone who is going to give you consistently better output. I'd much rather know my player is going to score 80-100 every week than wondering whether I'll be getting a 120 or a 40. For me, I'd spend a bit extra cash and look at someone more consistent like Docherty, or pehaps bringing both Suckling and Biggs in.

Is it too late to get Merrett?

Either looking at JJ to Wagner.
Then either Ben Kennedy to Z. Merrett or Sam Gray to Z. Merrett.

Kennedy's BE is 32 so he should go up, but his average isn't much worse than Sam Gray.
Gray's BE is 99 so I think he will go down most likely, I think he'll bounce up a bit but I'm not that convinced on him much anymore.

Will also have 165k left instead of 40k.

LOL. Thought I might be one ruck down this week, but now I have S Martin, S Frost and Currie all named to play. SO MUCH CHOICE.

Edit: Papley to Wagner, Tom Lee or Petracca?

I want to get rid of ****ing Zac Smith for Goldy but there are no downgrades that will net me enough cash to do it. So I reckon I might have to trade Stef for Goldy. Can't see him performing after last week's knock. But then I also kind of want to trade out Libba or Barlow but there's no really good options around their price range.

Annnnd the teams are in and some rookie relief McCarthy & Hewitt are back, Cox and Currie are named (Worst case Martin is dropped at least his owners should now have cover. Ruggles and Papley holds their spot and whilst Ryan Davis isn't playing he's actually listed as rested. I know these players won't do much for my scoring but I was seriously worried I may have had to cope a donut this week if Martin wasn't playing and some rookies were dropped! Lets hope this is a good omen to what can hopefully finally be a good weekend.

My post team release teams are looking as follows:

Jason Johannisen -> Orazio Fantasia
Dion Prestia -> Dan Hannebery
