Thinking of doing the following trades.

I'm sitting 762 and I have Garry Ablett but I don't want to trade him because getting him back in two weeks will be hard due to price and trades, so I am thinking of doing the following

Currently have 250.700 in the bank thinking of downgrading Stevie J to Milera then upgrading Shiel to Pendlebury? Thoughts on that? also if you have any other suggest on who to trade in around the 200k mark in the forward line would be much appreciated

I reckon that's a good trade for you. Normally I would say to wait until Pendles bottoms out in price, but in your case (because of your overall rank) you need the points now if you want to win the overall comp. Every week counts.

Anybody having a look at Josh Drummond?

Set to increase in price this week, I know hes held together by paper mache and could fall apart on the way to his car, but considering the real lack of defender premiums aside from Goddard and Deledio, im thinking I might just bite the bullet and risk it.

You'd have to be an idiot to have him in your team. And I'm speaking as someone who has him in there team. :eek:

Dont trade pendles in he will drop more this week, has a BE of 194. Treloar is about to go up has a BE of -73.

If your trying to win you cant really have a 700K bencher, you almst have to just burn the two trades over three weeks. if you miss ablett for a week so be it. wait an extra week. Its actually a pretty good way to make cash. EG ablett for parker save 350K three weeks parker i 480K so you made 130K then you can trade a rookie for ablett

Yeah I can get any premium mid i want as well.. Also got a very shitty going Dustin Martin in the mids too.. any ideas with him?

I would trade martin now. Can see him going down in price a lot..

I have $274,400 left in the bank.

H. Shaw --> Drummond
D Martin---> Sidebottom

if i did these trades i would have $400,000 roughly left in the bank to upgrade my cash cows....what do you think of these trades?

Penciled in

Fyfe for Geary (Moved Goddard to mids)
Hurley for Stanton (Dangerfield moved fwd)

Ablett goes to the bench and Magner can start and I'll pick Stanton and Murphy for my C and VC. I've only got to hope that one of Redden, Longer and Stephenson get named or I'll be one short in the rucks again.

might trade wingard has a B/E 50 :eek: dam sub

treloar can get squeezed in

also thinking Fyfe to M.Johnson and moving him to the backline for smedts

Well, going to be a make or break weekend I think and a good opportunity to jump up a few thousand places for those of us ballsy enough to pull the trigger.

Ablett, 2-3 Weeks hey......Yeah, not falling for that again Sandilands 2011. His 2-3 week turf toe turned into a season wrecking extremity and me, along with many others fell back in the pack and it was all over.

I think trading Ablett this week has it's merits if done properly. As we are only into round 5, the overall scores are so tight that an extra 100-150 points a week will see you move ahead pretty quick. Couple this with the lack of quality forwards, backs and rucks and it seems to me that you really have to have at least 3 or preferably 4 premium mids. The top teams at the moment are running 4 - 5 prem mids and given the shit scoring in other positions they have flown out.

Time to fix the damage and move Gaz to value.....Barlow finding form, Ziebell on fire, Selwood, Stanton, Grigg, Watson, Masten all value menaing you could get 2 potential guns for the 1 trade and shoot to the top.

At this stage I've done (please, please lend me some advice!)

Out: C.Smith, Carrazzo to midfield IN: C.Delaney (NM)

Out: Carrazzo, D.Martin to midfield IN: S.Sidebottom

The reasoning for this is that I have a stacked defence, and a fledgling forward line.

I still believe in Martin (sort of lost too much to go back now), and this hopefully frees up enough cash to buy Pendles next week.

First time playing this game and my god, i'm getting slaughtered. wasted so many trades!

:confused::confused::confused:
Why would you have even had Gray in your team in the first place? He missed the first two games and when he came back he didn't show any reason to buy him.

No wonder you're ranked ranked 67,000. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Its not me that had Robie Gray in my team you fricken tool spuddippa. It was the poster I was answering the Robie Gray question to. I was telling him to trade out Gray to Sidebottom. :rolleyes:

Man you are thick.

PS.

I am ranked 37,000 odd not 67,000 :rolleyes::thumbsu:

I'm ranked 10,000 and have Robbie Gray.

Don't think he was a terrible selection to begin with. I knew he was going to miss round 1 but thought he would have a breakout season. Unfortunately didn't work out.

I am currently 46th overall, first time taking supercoach seriously and have been fortunate with my starting squad, I have always played Dream Team, anyway in regards to Ablett obviously your theory has merits, I will definitely be trading him, with the view to get him back in.

1) Ablett > Paker ( Pocket the cash )
Magner > Ablett when he returns.

2) Ablett > Premium ( Selwood, Dal Santo, Stanton etc)
Magner > Ablett in a few weeks time.

3) Ablett > Premium
Magner > Ziebell sooner rather than later, even though Magner isnt at his peak.

This trade is leaving me with a lot to think about to say the least.

With Ablett out and some doubt over Pendlebury might have to go Ledger to Treloar so I don't get a donut. Might have to trade Fyfe out too depending on whether he plays or not. My ideal trade would be to Sidebottom but I'm most likely not going to known if Fyfe is in or out by Wednesday.

I'll do it while crying but it's come down to Carrazzo for either Geary or Suckling for mine.

And I can't bloody decide which. Any advice?

The head says Suckling but the heart (and wallet) say Geary.

You weren't one of those unlucky bastards who just traded Carrots in I hope.

Just traded Bower for Delaney of North who impressed me against the Swans and i have a feeling Bower may be on the pine soon and i am happy with the 100k he made me and both reserves have been playing every week in my backline so my cover is good. This then enabled me to trade Milera for Dahlhaus who is ripping it up. My 1st upgrade this year.

Have not made stuff all trades so far after dodging injury bullets so the luxury was there and a ranking of 126 out of 342k teams so far has me thinking i need to stay there and personally i think Bower will not rise much more and that last forward spot was killing me.

Can always reverse it and still have a projection of 2230+ with Ablett sitting so all is good!! :D

You might want to double check this. North has two Delaneys. Cameron only played against GWS, scored 72 but was dropped and hasn't played since. He's priced at $113.2k. Luke played against Geelong and the Swans, is priced at $296.8k and is only averaging 46.

I'm guessing you watched Luke against the Swans, but brought in Cameron who doesn't look like breaking back into the team for a while.

Magner is on the pine for me currently so he'll come in to cover Ablett. I'm fairly confident Ablett will only miss this week, maybe the next week as well. Definetly won't be the 3 weeks. Which means he won't be traded.

Will definetly be bringing in Pendles and Treloar. Pendles could still drop another 20k after this week but his form against Essendon is just too good to ignore. I'll sacrifice the 20k in order to have a possible 130 score from him this week. Treloar is a must, and Clay Smith will get the chop.

Will probably trade Fyfe to Pendlebury. I know that Fyfe will be back this week but I don't trust his shoulder and trading him for Pendlebury will allow me to bring in another premium midfielder for Magner next week, leaving me with 5 premium mids when Ablett gets back.
