It wasn't about the direction it was going to bounce, it was the height that it was going to and the fact that Hepp didn't give enough space to anticipate realistically possessing it after a bounce regardless of a direction, unlike his opponent who anticipated and didn't close the space on purpose. Heppell's quality is brain, not body. Should be better than that.
