Soooo happy we pumped all those useless games into Sam Gray instead of giving Farrell an extended run in the team.

Power pull away from Giants to kick clear at the top
The Power led by just three points at the last change but booted four goals to the Giants' one in the final term to claim victory, 9.9 (63) to 6.10 (46).
Sam Powell-Pepper was prolific with 22 disposals and a goal, while Kane Farrell played one of his most important games for the Power with 19 touches and a huge last-quarter major.

Well we are a game and percentage clear on top. When all is said and done think about that for a minute.

Not great for large parts of the game and disposal particularly by hand shocking.

Amon good again, Farrell played a great second half, Marshall some important ball when it was on the line Boak Hammer and Robbie some experience type plays.

Lots of reasons to lose that but we won.

Faaark the AFl. Caaarn Ports

You bloody beauty.

Not so clear on top as it might seem given Essendon have the game in hand but an amazing start to the season nevertheless.

Love Hammer's reaction, usually his job to bomb em from 60+

That was a great win. For three quarters that game was a candidate for enhanced interrogation techniques.

When they kicked the first goal in the last it was looking a tough ask.

But we knuckled down, won the ball and played our best footy of the afternoon.

It was like digging through a kilometer of dross and finding a fist sized diamond. Instead of a fist.

SPP one of his best games. Hands clean all day when everyone else fumbled. Hit targets, kicked a clutch goal, applied physical pressure.

Farrell huge last quarter capped with a monster goal. Attacked the ball hard much to Motlop's dismay.

Amon was terrific. Also hit the ball hard and hurting them with his kicking.

Robbie Gray was a catalyst when he went in the centre square. Composed and damaging.

Marshall found some separation in the last and was a factor.

Lycett huge in the ruck all day against "clumsy" Mumford.

Wines and Boak were a bit up and down but solid when it was there to be won, Clurey stuck to his man, Burton added a bit of class, Jonas a strong leader and McKenzie had a couple of cracks from range.

To win that in the last after our milk run start at 4am was immense.

And good on Kenny for getting in the circle enjoying the win and celebrating his AFL life membership.
