I actually see this as a danger game. Clarko has an axe to grind with us and will have them coming out firing.

If we bring some decent pressure after this week's activities we should be fine, but another poor start may really cost us.

Mate every game is a danger game from where we are sitting.

Ward was great against Collingwood. Then Mackenzie clearly struggled more than him last week against Gold Coast.

Surprised that this is the way they're going honestly.

Agreed.

If anyone should get the arse it's McDonald.

He's been bloody terrible all year with a questionable attitude.

Out of the 3 - Ward and McKenzie stay in for mine.

McDonald should have been dropped a while back. Seems he has a golden ticket

Don’t like Ward playing Box Hill, should be CMac
im guessing the decision came down to who would you rather get a full game of midfield minutes in the VFL vs likely 1 quarter in the AFL on a wing/flank as a sub (assuming Croc ends up sub)

McDonald midfield minutes?
I hope not.

Genuine question as I see a lot of people on here suggest he should be playing more midfield minutes.

Why? His running patterns suggest he would struggle to keep up with the demands of a genuine onballer?

We need hardness around the ball this weekend, I think that of all the potential midfield options MacDonald is the last player to provide that.

I hope he can turn that switch on because he's obviously classy, but I just don't think Mitchell will roll the dice on him (in the middle) this weekend given how desperate we are for a win.

Butler and Ward will both be playing at Box Hill this weekend.
So that leaves 6 players left that were named on the interchange - Gunston, Morrison, Mitchell, Serong, Macdonald and Nash - two of which to be sub and emergency.

No idea what the selectors will do but it will leave us light on for mids, especially with Ward out, if Nash and Macdonald are named as the sub and the emergency.

One of Morrison and Serong will be named emergency you would imagine.
Nash will play, Gunners will play according to Sam this morning, while Sam spoke about Croc in the press conference today that he will add defensive pressure in the forward line.
