Don't really want to offload any of my cash cows just yet, but have 2 donuts in the backline.

Thoughts on Dangerfield --> Hartlett, then move Hartlett into Defence and Gibbs onto midfield bench?

Then just stuck with the one donut.

was thinking of wearing 1 donut in def and downgrading dwyer to kerridge and then go wines to watson.......to early for wines?

I'm basing all my reasoning on the fact that its important to capitalise on popping cows with the extra trades.

Turn those extra trades into quick cash now for a stronger late run in the season.

Brought in Gawn for Blicavs. Went Colqu??????? for Hartlett. Saved Goodes and Gibbs on the pine.

Weak rucks though with Gawn and Daw starting.

just made my trades and I want to vomit, sort of, need to know whether these are ok.

goodes out for vlaustin
jordan russell out for chris yarran.

not much cash left, but I think it's the best I can do with money availability and players available.
thoughts welcome

Now that teams have been announced, I am in a clearer position on what to do.
In order to avoid a donut in the back this week (and possibly next week as well), I will need to make 2 trades.
I have no choice but to sacrifice Pittard and perhaps Gibbs (after reading so many comments on why to trade him out).
Looking to the long-term, I would need to do one upgrade and one downgrade to leave me with enough cash for an upgrade next week.
Question is, which defender do I downgrade to? I don't see any good ones now with Laird and Doc dropped.
Nathan Wright? Josh Saunders? Doesn't leave me with much of a choice.
As for the upgrade, probably Shaw or Hartlett.
Thoughts?

Traditionally, I think anything before midday is too early for Wines. But there are exceptions... like going to the horsies.

PS - yes, you're a madman to trade out Wines now.

Haha yeh I know its crazy but my logic was if I cop the donut in def but get a jobe in for example could that be better in the long run.....crazy sc thinking but I will probz stick with my one trade as dwyer to kerridge to generate some cash then depending on this weeks rookies upgrade next week

hey guys, im new to this, still coming to grips with most of it, love everyones advice, im playing to beat the know all young kids at the footy club :), little do they know where i get all my info :))), im thinking the only move i can make this week is pittard out for hmmmmm corr?

Backs: Duffield, Goddard, Gibbs, Goodes, Pittard, Stevenson (Terlich, Frost)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Cotchin, Murphy, Dangerfield, Mayes Wines, O'Meara, (Viney, Crouch)

Rucks: Cox, Goldstein (Rowe, Currie)

Forwards: Franklin, A Walker, J Kennedy, D Martin, Zorko, Neade (Macaffer, Lee)

Bank $400

Used 4 trades so far

This week looking at

Goodes to mid bench then Crouch - Vlastuin
Rowe - Gawn

This will net me $120k. As i currently have no cash I am prepared to take a donut this week to generate cash. Is this worthwhile in peoples opinions?

That's not a bad idea. I'm looking at 2 donuts in defence right now. Could do

Dangerfield - Hartlett
Pittard - Vlastuin

That will leave me with none. Of course Dangerfield will probably go out and score 150 now.

I went Fyfe > Moloney, and I know what 175k for an upgrade next round. Good trade, or should I keep Fyfe?
Not a good trade, would only do if you were looking at a donut. He is suspended, not injured so in 2 weeks he will keep rolling out high scores, much higher than Moloney. You will then burn a trade later on for him, just not worth it.

I just put Kommer back onto the field after persisting with him over the last 2 weeks and will do the same with Goodes. A premium like Fyfe? would only trade out if he was out for 3-4 weeks or if I was going for overall score and was very highly ranked

anyone that is chasing points looking to go Gibbs < Hibberd? or Gibbs > Dixon?

You'd be better off downgrading Pittard to a playing rookie instead of Rowe > Gawn. Avoid a doughnut and have 146k in the bank instead of 120k

Pittard > Saunders is your best bet because Sunders is a B/M DDP so you can use that link to bring Goodes back to Def in 2 weeks without having to move Vlastuin to the mids.
(I would only do this trade if Saunders is not wearing the green vest tonight)

Geez there's a complete lack of good downgrade targets this week, worst time for that to happen.

Like most I need to cover backs being out so I suppose it will be Dwyer > Kerridge and Pittard > Shaw.

Not convinced about Kerridge's scoring or JS but can't see many options, so hopefully I can get away with him at F9 for a while.

The only other alternative with my squad is to go Rowe > Gawn and Pittard > Shaw but that then means I lose the switch with Cox and I think I will need that option during the byes etc.
Swap Dwyer for Gawn, then move Rowe back to rucks when you upgrade Gawn before the byes.

Thanks for the advice, don't know much about Saunders what is his JS like? Reason i was liking Gawn was his price increase, BE and likely JS over the next few weeks

I have no idea about his JS. Played his 1st game last week starting as the Sub. From what I have read he was good when he came on. Something to consider if he is not the Sub in tonight's game.

1. Gibbs >> Dixon
2. Pittard >> Ellis (provided he is not named as the sub)

$316,700 left in the bank after this trade.
I need to plug 2 holes in my defense or it could be the same carnage again next week.
And I need to have at least $300k in the kitty for an upgrade next week.
Option 1 is pretty set unless someone can talk me into getting a diff decent player (Hartlett/Shaw/Burgoyne).
Option 2 I need more thoughts on downgrade options.

Cool, he is name on ground in the forward line so hopefully he can kick 10 :)

Birchall - Hartlett - Goddard - Stevenson - Terlich - Gibbs (Hutchins - Pittard)
Ablett - Pendles - Swan - Danger - Wines - Mayes - Lucas - O'Meara (Crouch - Goodes)
Maric - Leuenberger (Blicavs - Rowe)
Cox - A.Walker - Kennedy - Rockliff - Martin - Neade (Dwyer - Macaffer)

BOLD = OUT this week

Option A)
Blicavs > Gawn + Hutchins > Vlastiun

Option B)
Dwyer > Gawn (Via Rowe FWD) + Hutchins > Vlastiun
- That way when Gawn moos I Can upgrade him to prem FWD and move Rowe back to Rucks?

Thoughts? Any other options?
