He’s 16 games in over four seasons. How much longer do we give him? Cal Brown got 70 games over about 7 seasons and was a complete bust. I hope we get a read on Fin well before that.

I like to give a player 400 games just to be sure, I’m not sold on pendles yet.

We beat one of the current “form” teams at their home deck 2 weeks ago 😄

They weren't really a "form" team at that point. They have found their mojo over the last fortnight.
Whereas Port have a midfield that's flying, a backline that's hard to score against and a forward structure that has kicked over 100 points in 3 of their 4 games so far. Much bigger test than what Brisbane was.....

Ports 3 wins have been against ess, eagles and rich. Lost to the dees in adel

Not the best sample size for them yet.

Essendon's performance tonight against the Bulldogs suggests that their loss against PA last week was due just as much to their underperformance as to PA's domination.
Essendon's pressure during the entire game tonight was consistently high...last week, after quarter time, it was a figleaf. Rozee, Horne-Francis, Butters are definitely eilte players, but when you don't apply pressure to them, they look as if they are invincible.
To defeat PA, we will need to bring gutloads of pressure. We just need to build on the pressure levels we applied to Brisbane, and to Hawthorn in the first half. Bring that same intensity - over 4 quarters - and can win this game, especially on the G.
I would love Pendles to play, but realistically he might need 2 weeks to recover.
If he needs the extra time, bring on the best performer in the VFL to play instead.

That was the Bulldogs 3rd game in 12 days. The tight schedule is definitely having an impact on sides this year.

The only person that could replace cox is frampton, and he ain’t moving

Begg is not an afl level ruck and gets soundly beaten by VFL rucks. Steene hasn’t played any footy (not ready anyway). That leaves Johnson…

If mcstay was playing he could chop out, but atm reef or checkers certainly can’t
That’s all true but cox is the invisible man at the moment plus the numerous frees against
Someone that provides a contest would be a nice start

This isn’t going to be an easy game, I just think they aren’t world beaters. We can beat em.

Agree we can beat them, and l think we will. It would just be fantastic to beat a good side who's at the top of their game, and that everyone is pumping up.
Love to see us dominate Port at the G in front of 60k+, and walk away with a 5 to 6 goal win....Be the perfect Saturday .....

I couldn't believe how the commentators just brushed that off. He just steamrolled straight into the player. No intent for the ball that I could see.
It’s because they aren’t actually there.
