Great effort after 5 days, we ran out the whole game.
The only difference was their kicking skills in delivery and their clean hands, not much fumbling at all from them.
Thanks fellas, for giving all of us great signs for the future.
Bring on the Essenduds!

If there really is daylight between Melbourne and the rest of the competition then we can’t be too far off the best of the rest. Imagine how much better we’ll be with more experience.
A gutsy effort in the last, I thought they were going to blow us away, feelings of Melbourne putting the foot down as per the grand final.

I was a bit worried of a blow out in the final term, given the 5 day break and last week's final quarter, wish we'd have played a final term like that last week, we'd have won.

Very pleased with the overall effort, and Dylan Moore is fast becoming my favourite player. Love watching him play.

10 point loss to the best team in the competition is nothing to be displeased about.

Was a bit rubbish how the free kicks were so lopsided given we were the ones being scragged off ball, but I'm also less positive on the margin. They were 30 up with 25% of their team missing even if they weren't exactly core players. Good effort to keep contesting, but I thought given their players out I'd have liked to have won more 1 on 1 contests in at least some area of the ground. We are missing some too but Jiath the only that would've made a difference in that area for us.

That argument works both ways. Given who we had missing the point is moot

We had our third choice ruck verse the best ruck in the competition, we did more than alright.

Also thought we'd get blown away in last, but gutsy effort and even though heart in mouth stuff when taking it on through corridor, like the dare..

They were cleaner for longer and when it mattered. Also helps on the back of a premiership that guns like Petracca can afford to cheat ahead of contests..

Superb effort today against the best team in the comp. No complaints whatsoever!

Dylan Moore is a deadset gun, same with Sicily and Scrimshaw. Worpel has bounced back in recent weeks too.

Really happy to see Kosi hitting the scoreboard in Lewis’s absence, they could be a very dangerous 1-2 punch when both are fit.

Gunston and Breust kick their normal conversion rate and one of the following two: Brown doesn't get the frees Frost conceded or Frost gets the frees Brown conceded... you can't have it both ways umpires. And we win.

If Frost was chopping Brown's arms all day, Brown was also chopping Frost's, frees went one way.

Great effort and plenty to be excited about. Melbourne are far from the unstoppable force they are being made out to be. They have a loss coming soon.

We had our chances but poor finishing cost us. How often have Gunston and Bruest kicked 1.6 between them?

Loved the work of Dimma and Finn. Both smashed their opponents. Kosi did very well against May and Moore was great in the midfield. Worpel’s best game in a while and Jaeger’s too. Impey was good and Scrim is a bonafide star.

Onwards and upwards.
Dimma
I hate losing at any point but if you squint your eyes this loss kind've feels like a win. We had wins all over the park and the reality is that we need more games into the young-ins.

✅ Finn Maginness – Super job on Langdon
✅ Conor Nash – awesome job on Oliver
✅ Dylan Moore
✅ James Sicily
Add Dimma on Fritsch.

I said last week that was his best game for the club. He just topped himself today. He is most definitely on the improve.
The jury is still out but its definitely a step in the right direction for him. His awareness with what was around him was a lot better today too. His disposal still leaves much to be desired but hopefully he keeps plugging away.
