I didnt pay for a seat but it was that loud i heard it 750kms away and i had the sound down on the tv
Couldn’t hear any booing on tv but I did hear the Mason Wood chant going around, which they’ve done before. think that’s great.

Just my few cents worth....
Lyon has changed us from an easy beat team to a hard to beat team. However it's primarily through system not through some magical transformation of our playing list. It's easy to get seduced by being on top of the ladder that we now somehow have a whole bunch of A graders. That's not the case.

The great improvement in Owens and Wood and astute recruiting of Pou and Caminiti has been offset by our significant injury list thus far. The improved performance to date is essentially though a total buy-in to team defence and quick ball movement.

Clearly the better teams will work out how to get through our defensive setup and throw the challenge back on us to respond. That's going to be the real challenge ahead to see if we have a Plan B if that eventuates.

If we don't then our list deficiencies will again be highlighted as they have to a small degree against the Pies and Port. Both of those teams moved the ball more efficiently than we did and got the result for it.

The good side to it all is that not all teams will work us out or be capable of overcoming our style even if they do. I'm optimistic that should translate into us winning at least half of our games from here on in.

The other problem Bytel faces is he is a lot like Crouch, Steele, Ross and Clark - not overly quick or a line breaker.

Wouldnt be surprised Bytel gets an opportunity elsewhere next year & for him that might be the best move.

Need to move Bytel on so they can bring in a mid.

Someone like, say, Bytel.

Reminds me a bit of this scene from The Inbetweeners.

Swap Charlotte for Ross
Swap Will for Bytel
Swap Boyfriend for Midfielder

Port would not have won without Dixon playing.
Playing virtualy on one leg, he set two goals up by smothering a kick and then won a holding the ball decision.

Dixon was only recalled because Marshall was concussed (and Georgiades it out for the year).
We struggled against him all night he’s a mountain of a man. Funnily enough I’d have been happier with Marshall in and Dixon out.

How are we feeling as of the Sunday?

I was pissed on Friday night but I'm cooling to the idea that we've only lost 2 games by 13 points combined vs Top 4 contenders and were in positions to win both games with several key players missing.
I'm in this boat too.

I think a few here are rushing to judgement.

All I asked of the team this year was to be competitive every week and so far we've done that and more

Look at it this way. It took Port, who is a good team, weeks of planning to beat us by 7 points in a game where we played averagely, gave up 2 goals basically in the goal square to dumb decisions, lack any proper talls at the moment and were already tired from the short break coming in and couldnt play our running game properly.

So not the tragedy some people are making it out to be.

Very true

The Collingwood and Carlton games and now the PA game showed the holes in our midfield, especially to the point of not getting hands on the ball at centre bounces far too many times, and we're getting away with it so far with two small losses, but I think opposition coaches will play to that weakness more closely.

Steele is probably our best and most important mid and we didn't have him for the Pies and he's been slowly improving since. Having him back fully fit makes a huge difference to our midfield. Sinclair on ball and even Owens in the ruck make us look so much more dynamic. Perhaps we need to be targeting a HBF or ruck forward in the midseason draft or looking at a guy like Josh Sinn or Lauchie Ash for next year.

Feel and felt the same

Hmmm can the weather really be a factor when we’re playing under the roof?

I just think we’re a historically poorly attending side. We’re not like Collingwood or Carlton who pack a stadium regardless who we are playing. It’s never really made sense to me.

Going out of the house in rainy weather in Melbourne is miserable. We drove and parked at the stadium so we didn't have to deal with it. There were lots of people looking sorry for themselves walking in.

The crowd picked up this week, it's a shame we didn't getting, I reckon we would have started rocking the stadium if we had.

It wasn't loud at the ground.
Why don't you just believe the numerous people who've stated it in the thread?
Either the telecast had microphones near a pocket of the noise or they enhanced it for the narrative of outrage, but I couldn't imagine a commercial station doing that. Or could I?
St Kilda coach Ross Lyon has urged supporters to stop booing Power young gun Jason Horne-Francis, after he copped more hostile treatment from a heated Marvel Stadium crowd last night.

Despite the bitter reception, the Port Adelaide rising star proved influential, delivering a standout performance to steer the Power to a memorable win over the ladder-leading Saints.

The issue we have is who playes second ruck.?? He will be replaced short term by Hayes or Keeler. Fingers crossed long term Ben King.

Cordy was picked up as an emergency defender if needed. The club know exactly where he is at.
Do you really think we are a legit chance for Ben King? Think we are chasing DeKonig …not sure we can fit him and Bing in with the other clubs also cashed up who’ll be circling….I hope you’re right
Watching the other night a glaring hole is an A Grade bull mid ….

Wait for next week - hopefully!

Yeah, I saw his presser. What he said was pretty measured, but to the point. Just saying I wasn’t aware of it watching on tv.

But as I have stated on here before I think it’s pathetic. Hope it just dies a natural death now.
People should just grow up.

I can sort of understand booing umps as they walk off, as pantomime theatre “villains” of the piece - and it’s directed at a group as a whole - but I wouldn’t do it anyway.

If we could choose a GC player to poach I'd have Touk Miller or Noah Anderson miles ahead of Bing tbh

Parking at the stadium sounds like a ******* nightmare

Nah easy, we actually park in the old DFO thing on Spencer in wet weather. $20 for event parking. In good weather we park down on the corner of Spencer and flinders street and that's $11 or something. Cheaper than fares. The DFO one you walk straight out onto the overpass to the stadium, 2 minutes walk to get inside.
