Thinking of going early on Danger. Scored 196 & 163 against Giants last year (his 1st and 3rd highest scores). Backing the great man to bounce back

I honestly don't give a **** about how many trades I have left now. My season is cooked and I'm going for an miracle comeback. If I can get to a full premo side with any trades left then my season is a pass, so saving trades is gonna do **** all now.

First trade: Billings -> Heeney. Was locked at the 4th minute mark of the first quarter on Saturday night, when Spudlings shanked a set shot.
Second trade: Murray -> Cole. Murray's BE is 54, and has probably hit the stage where he will only make 10-15k per match. Plus Cole is looking like a solid downgrade option in defence. Thank you for your service Muzzah. :thumbsu:
$230k in the bank and 18 trades left :drunk::rainbow:

Round 8 trades will be a double downgrade:
English -> Ronke/Spargo.
Banfield -> Spargo/Mutch/Worpel.
Leaving $550-600k (hopefully), 16 trades.

Round 9 will hopefully be a double upgrade:
Holman -> Piggy :pigface:
1 of Finlayson/Doedee (worst performer or highest BE) -> Yeo
Will probably be ~$50-100k left and 14 trades.

Who knows what happens after that. Will be 4-5 upgrades left for a premo side.
Upgrade targets are any of:
- Hurley, Luke Ryan, Savage, Hurn.
- Macrae.
- SexyRobbie, Buddy, ?Westhoff, ?Mundy.

I’d be flabbergasted if Walters didn’t miss a month. Looked bad. Cole looks good, but he’s expensive and better cheaper options will pop up. Deal with a Billings and Walters if you can IMO.

He’s burnt me twice previously. Never again. All power to you though. Hope he holds up.

Same, I must be a glutton for punishment. Started with Shaw even after he burnt me last yr. Both have been staples in my fantasy teams for many years though and I tend to focus on the good yrs and pretend that they aren't getting old.

Billings -> Gray
Walters -> Danger

Makes the team look a fair bit better. Midfield finished, at least for the next little while.

Still not sure on the Gray trade really.

Will need to prioritise bringing in Yeo next. My backline is a mess.

Makes my team look like this:

Better getting Yeo this week instead of Danger. Yeo has bottomed out, Danger hasn’t.

Bonner > Spargo VIA Finlay
Banfield > Oliver/Pendles/Selwood/McLean/Bont/Neale

Or

Banfield > Spargo
Walters > Danger

Or

Walters > anyone under 580k

Thoughts?

Good point. I’ll do some sums to work out what I’d have to do to get Danger in the next fortnight. Dont want to be left unable to bring him in.
He’s been pretty unimpressive of late. If his name wasn’t Danger, no-one would be scrambling to bring him in. Forget history, deal with the present. I’d rather see something first and pay more $$.

Look at Spudstein. Fantastic example.

Banfield to Spargo
Walters to Yeo (if you’ve got the right swingmen)

Seriously tempted to take the risk and jump on Milera while Adelaide has a decent run.

Pros:
New role at half back, kicks it heaps, seagulls beautifully with Lairdbot, kicks at 85% + efficiency, plays Carlton next week (not a lot of forward pressure there).

Cons:
Stuff all contested ball (6 touches from 33 on the wkend), not a heap of tackling, not many marks.

I might just go Billings>Milera to prove that hack campaigner a point.

I’ll just put that post down to a brain fade

Pretty keen on the following high risk/high reward moves:

Naughton to Sicily
Holman to Hibberd

Next week I'll have an option to grab 1 or 2 rookies (Ronke, Spargo, Mutch, Worpel), then in round 8 I will grab a Mid premo (hopefully Danger if the spud shows something 2 weeks in a row)

Put it down to being over this game in round 6
Trades like that will just make this worse. We’ve all had bad starts. Make smart trades and you can easily recover. Making risky dumb trades will more than likely make you quit before the seasons out. Risky trades are for when you’re top 1000 and looking for a POD to catapult you over the line.
