Constable, Whitfield and Scrimshaw - yuck. Just gotta park Whitfield next to Baby John Burgess and hope I can field 6 defenders.

Looking like Constable to Hayes, to free up money for
Scrimshaw to <an upgrade anywhere cos I can shuffle DPP guys>

Upgrade is most likely Tim Kelly, cos he looks great value. Could also afford Laird, Fyfe or anyone else under about $585k, but I think Kelly helps a position of weakness and is the best shopping this week. Leaves enough cheddar that I may be able to 1-up, 1-down next week too.

Who would Daniel be replacing on-field at F5?

Daniel replaces setterfield / parker / petrol jelly with drew at f6. Only allows me 1 upgrade up fwd so can't get both heeney and boak

Fyfe replaces constable with one of hayes / atkins / gibbons on the ground at f8 (but duursma to go back into the mids in the next few weeks)

keeping carnstable...he'll be nice and angry next week I hope. Might switch Moore and Baby John around.
Collins can sub a 60 for Whitfield.
So just Butters to Hayes for some coin that'll do.
I want Bewley for Carrrnstable in 2 weeks. Stocker needs a close look as well this week.
Hayes the best of a lousy current crop I'm not keen on. Zero interest in Answerth or Larkey who have zombierook written on their forehead.
Thinking GAJ still. iSHOULD, iMIGHT tomorrow.
Nothing to see here. If I cant cope with 2 outs not much point playing. All good.

p.s. From memory Gull never seems to go that well against Brissy. No idea why. Happy with an 85-90 though after his start.

Yeo was reasonably consistent last year, apart from that putrid 27 in Rd3. Only one other score under 83.
Issue with Yeo is he only averages 20-25 touches, so if he doesn't get 6 or 7 tackles a game, he aint going over 100
But yeah I'm talking about this year, not last year. As mentioned above, interrupted preseason, so may have found his groove now

I have a pool of floating turds. Menegola, McLean, Lunchmeat, Heeney...
If you think McLean can go 90+ again, go for it, but if there's nothing to suggest he's going to get more time in the middle and improve on his 17 touches a game (down from 24 last year, 22 the year before that), then it's a waste just for the sake of "upgrading"

Just double downgrade if you have to, or only 1 downgrade. Unless you're going to cop a donut, then maybe I'd look at Greene or Westhoff

if you can get Fyfe for Walsh then why not do it? you'll probably still have a rookie M8 either way but at least you have SP Fyfe.
its no different to people looking so use Libba or Goldy to get him.
Buy Walsh is ave 96 with a BE of 67. Has more money to make and more importantly is scoring. Agree with getting in Fyfe, but much better to convert other rookie/s to him than Walsh first if possible.

nah i agree all are shit.

double downgrades here we GO.

Next week Larkey and some other campaigner

Ok think I’ve decided on Hayes over Ross, the extra cash lets me get Neale next week for Walsh completing my midfield with Libba at m8
I eventually landed on Ross over Hayes. May the best man win :moustache:

I’m banking on Ross having better JS and a higher ceiling with higher scores. In the case where they make the same amount of cash then I get back the extra investment when I trade him in anyway. If Hayes ends up making more cash, if he can even keep his spot, I doubt it will be a lot more. On risk assessment, Ross wins.

I personally do not need a MID atm, but I am surprised people haven't been mentioning Yeo. Eagles have a better run in the next 6 weeks, and he has notched 2 tons in the last 3 weeks, looks to be finding form again.
Yep I agree. He averaged 110 last year when you take out that weird game vs Geelong. He was underdone and had a relatively tough draw but they get a really easy run until the bye. He should average 110+ for the rest of the year imo

Cheers for the feed back, I might just sit on my hands this week.

It’s a really strong position that you’re in. Do like the idea of Fyfe and fwiw have been trying to read up more on Hayes and some seem to be more positive on him based on looking at those who are currently out / waiting in the wings (mostly KPPs, it seems), so an option with one of your midpriced options and a downgrade to Hayes could work.
I don’t want to be the bloke who kills the goose laying those beautiful top 400 eggs, don’t know my arse from my elbow this year.
Go with your gut :thumbsu:

I'm not doing my cash generation any favours this season. It's going to bite me in the arse later!

Going from failed pricey rookie in Cousins, to Ross at a $75k premium.
I did the same with Rozee after his first rise as well.

Out: Cousins and Scrimshaw
In: Ross and Lloyd.

Gives me Lloyd, Hurn, Laird, Whitfield, Duursma and Wilkie down back.
I've had Cumming sitting on my bench since the start of the season too. Is he only in because Whitfield is out? I'm hoping he can get a run of games and make some coin.

Hmmm think you have changed my mind, might grab Ross now instead it makes sense. Cheers

Okay mate but no blaming me if it goes **** up :p

Haha.

I’m thinking I’ll bring in Ross too. Question is for Constable or Scott.

Other trade will be Scrimshaw to Laird/Sicily.

Worry scott won’t get back near the side and Constable should be back and has money to make. Worst case I’ll be bringing in a premo mid next week or week after

I'm considering one of the following

Scrim -> Answerth and Scott -> Fyfe

Or

Constable -> Fyfe and Butters -> Ross

Biggest issue there it leaves me with two non playing rookies and I'll have to field a Gibbons/Atkins type

Think I risk Answerth and sink it home

I still have them both and will be looking to trade Scott before Constable. Both still have some mooing left in them but Constable is the more likely earner I think.
