Simpkin is the biggest disappointment IMO.

Was unreal early last year when North were actually competitive, was racking it up and incredibly clean with the ball. With how hard he apparently works at training, his skill and Cunnington back in to take some attention I thought his natural progression would be into that 100+ range this year but just hasn't clicked for him.

Juddiacke has just been a spud.
Simpkin is a small Chol'd campaigner.

Remember those passes that would sail 5 meters over his head when he used to play for us? Or the long bombs to a 1 on 3 situation where he had absolutely no chance? Imagine him being in a team that can actually deliver the ball to him properly! And, a winning team at that. The only ? is the knee.... :eggplant:
Don’t worry about that. Saw three or four of those such passes when Casey played Richmond. Think it has more to do with BBB than who’s kicking it.

Would not have wanted that side to start the year... You're trading like Neo, gj.
To the best of my recollection, I've never had a perfect Round 1 side, and I've never seen one. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Dunks - Steele
Neale - Walsh

20 trades in the hole

I knew Neale was going too Rockliffe me but like a moth to the flame could not resist bring him back in last week.

Looking to load up on the top mids and wait and see on these forwards who all like avarge at the moment.

Edit....

Is Brown getting a game this week? Might bring him in instead of Steele if I am looking at a donut in the forward line and Bring in Steele cheaper next week.

Alright puppies and kentlemen, give me your thoughts:

Plenty of cash in the pusswah!

Option A - Midfield Grab - $134k remaining
1619663154666.png
  • get the #2 and #3 pure midfielders into my side
  • (just) leaves enough money for Chapman > May the next week
  • must be at the expense of Gulden

Option B - Midfield Value - $242k remaining
1619663274617.png
  • get the value midfielders into my side (Walsh / Guthrie?)
  • leaves money for both May and BBB over the next few weeks without downgrades
  • is still at the expense of Gulden

Option C - Dead Rookie Bounce - $146k remaining
1619663468778.png
  • get the value midfielders into my side (Walsh / Guthrie?)
  • leaves enough money for Chapman > May the next week
  • gets rid of dud rookies from my bench (Berry, Rowe - whichever isnt named?)
  • lets Gulden potentially moo a bit more

With May in next week, i'll look to sure up my forward line a bit more, firstly with BBB as a cheap get and also Marshall

Appreciate your ridicule - cheers!

Is it time I traded that ******* fraud Cripps?

I'm all for backing your premos but FMD campaigner. The signs were there after his first game when he looked completely disinterested. When he tries he's even worse.

1 ton from 6 games, and even that 109 was as impressive as my chol on a winters morning.

88, 82, 99, 83, 64.

Lost 41k already this year despite being "underpriced" and now projected to drop another 25k this week with a BE of 137.

And if some small chol'd pleb says "If Cripps is your biggest concern you must have a pretty good team" I'll Alf the kent.

Cripps is my biggest concern. Specially his dumb baby face and lack of points.

Also, my team is sh*t.

The things that have hurt Cripps is just stupid sloppy shit. Things like dropping a mark recorded as a clanger for -5 points etc.

Just gotta hold for now and address later. Hope he comes good.

You gotta think about this too. 1 up 1 down from rookie to premo is roughly +50 points. If you've got to 1 up 1 down Cripps to top premo maybe you gain 20-25 points a week at best (unless you can 1 up him and have excess cash). Hold.

I'd steer clear of Treacy. He just doesn't look like he'll play well enough to have decent JS or make enough cash. And because he might play at any time, he's no good as a permanant non-playing loop. When it comes time to cull Flynn I'll probably downgrade to Comden.

I'll see if I can get Comben instead.

If moneys no issue I'll get him

B or C for mine

Rowe > Dev Robertson
Dunkley > Bont/Petracca

Having a really hard time to decide to go for Bont or Petracca.

In terms of Bye Rounds: Going Bont means I’ll have 4 midfield premiums out for Round 13 as I already have Macrae, Merrett and Walsh.

Going Petracca means only 3 miss out in the mids, but I’m also planning to bring in May next week and Melbourne have that crazy Round 14 bye round.

In terms of scoring: How does Bont score without Dunkley? Does it impact him positively or negatively? He does have the KOTD factor though. Trac has an incredibly easily next 4 weeks so could go huge, almost the Brownlow favourite now and really seems to be hitting some form.

There is no wrong answer here, I have Bont and will try to get Petracca. It's a real 50/50 sorry.

Think I've settled on this.

If Rowe is named: Dunkley -> Robertson, Brockman -> Walsh/Bont/Petracca.

If Rowe isn't named: Dunkley -> Robertson, Rowe -> Walsh/Bont/Petracca.

Anybody care to make the case for one of those three SP's? The way I've listed them is my current order of preference, but it's changing constantly.

EDIT: There was a similar question above, I'll just look at the responses to that as they come through.

Doesn't sound like you've settled anything :D

I started the year with Walsh and Petracca and as it stands I'm grabbing Bont for Dunks this week - does that help? ;)

Petracca is probably the value. Had 25, 30, 29 in the first three rounds but butchered the ball which saw a price drop. Really depends if his Bye suits you really. If not, take Bont IMO.

If I didn't have Trac, I'd be grabbing him this week over Bont - purely because of the questions you ask.

As per my post above, Trac has been getting a lot of the ball but butchered it early. The next four are North, Sydney, Carlton, Adelaide. Party time.

Ive done one trade so far.
Dunkley to sidey is locked in.
with the second trade i have 3 options.
im leaning towards
1- Gulden to oliver. This leaves me 150k for next week which pretty much guarantees an upgrade.
2- Berry to oliver is possible leaving 50k
3- Brockman to oliver. removing a rookie who i dont expect to play over the next month. Owners may not get a chance to move him on for a long time.
