That’s the last time we’ve lost to Sydney.

Funny story: after we’d beaten Sydney at Adelaide Oval in 2022, another Port supporter at the Vic Supporters Group pub in Melbourne said “That was a good win, we really struggle against Sydney.”

You can imagine his horror when I informed him that we hadn’t lost to them for 6 years.

If the 2022 Dawson game to send us to 0-3 (and 0-5 within a couple of weeks) wasn't the end of Hinkley, there's absolutely nothing that could happen in tonight's game that will be the end of him.

Hinkley could invite a 7 year old fan down into the centre square at half time, to hold the lead of one of his losing greyhounds, then whip out the gun and shoot it and Koch would claim it as a masterful motivational move.

Koch is so far invested into proving everyone else wrong, with him right for backing Hinkley (ignoring even if every other coach in finals suffered strokes, giving him his only way of winning, it'd still be a shit record), that it's going to take one of them physically incapable of doing their job, for him to be gone.
