I didn't see the game. That's disheartening though.

Who am I looking at then?

Potential downgrades: Ellis, Langford.

Need to build on warchest so a downgrade is happening. What do you think?

If he is not named Sub I'd consider Ellis>Jake Lloyd 162k B/E -50 (scored 97 from a full game last week)

Anyone else wanting to jump on Goddard after the Essendon bye when he's around 450k or is it better to go for a super premium?

Priddis 2013 = Goddard 2014

105-ish scorers.

IIRC, last years winner had Priddis? RichoRichoRicho

If you get Goddard at 450k & he happens to ave 110, you'll definitely be smiling.

Would leave you with ~75k to spend wisely elsewhere.

Exactly, how many 450k players have the ability to average 110+? I know it was a while ago now, but Goddard did average 116 & 130 in 2009 & 2010

You don't necessarily have to have 8 top 10 midfielders by the end of the year - in fact I doubt any team would have that. Any midfielder that you can get before the halfway point under 500k who averages 105-110 would be a good get, and absolutely fine at M7/M8.

......

Burgoyne has been playing a lot more midfield this year compared to previous years at the Hawks though. With Sitchell going down, I expect even more midfield minutes for him. Just remember, he was a premo mid back when he played at Poort, so it's not like he doesn't know how to score.
He was, don't think he will be. Hibberd and Hooker better option IMO. Each to their own.

My trades this week. Was gonna have 12 players playing R8, hopefully 15 now. Haven't looked into the other bye rounds yet because I dont wanna spend anymore time working this shit out

Salem over Riley.

Can't really compare. Different club, different role, different team.

Need some help guys.

Need to trade Mitchell out for Simpson but only have $1,000 in the kitty.

Was thinking of going either Kelly or Crouch > J.Lloyd/Acres and Mitchell > Simpson

Do I need to use a third trade? Probably not.

Taylor would be a better cull than those two IMO. Kelly and a Crouch will earn a fair bit more.
Could also cull Currie to a non playing ruck?
Or, preferably, have a good look at Hooker at 475k as a straight swap and save a trade and make 25k?

I was a couple grand short of Salem :(

Not expecting a heap from Riley but he's a tackling machine which will help his score and as much as I like Salem he can go missing for long patches
As the sub? ;)

I was wondering when someone would mention Lloyd. He's one of my two certain trades for the week (pending selection/subs).

Kelly > Lloyd
Impey > JKH

Lloyd is the midfield rookie SCGold expects to make the most cash over the next 3 rounds ($81.8k) and JKH ($72.7k) is the second highest forward rookie behind Ambrose ($106.7k), but I already have Ambrose. I'm really unhappy about having to make the second trade because I was only a couple of thousand short of being able to trade Impey to Rioli last week but had to trade out JHK instead. I can't let that stop me from making what is clearly the right trade this week though.

Still unsure about the third trade. I'd love to get rid of Georgiou, but I'm really not happy with any of the backline rookie options.

Need to make a downgrade in mids. Tossing up between Hartung, Acres and O'rourke. Not sure about Hartung's JS and vest candidate. O'rourke on the bubble but not sure about JS and scoring ability. Acres probably looks the best option with decent JS and decent scoring ability, but I generally hate jumping on rookies a week early incase they don't get picked the next week.
PS. Already got Towers

Want to get rid of the tomahawk before he loses more value.

Wingard, Boomer, Bruest, or Dusty Martin? And why?

Gingy, I agree with Burgoynes capability, but with Sammy now cactus does it mean the stopping role now focuses on Burgoyne (especially if he assumes the qtr back running role)

Tossing up between him and Michael Johnson at this early stage (hibberd also in the mix but i have plans for that extra 50K)
I tend to think Hallahan, or the forgotten man Sewell, will take Mitchell's role..

Martin. Him and Richmond have been no where near their best, racks possies, kicks goals, takes marks. He has still been scoring relatively well, and if Richmond get back to their best, then Dusty will fire and average 105+ for the rest of the year. Also plays more midfield than all the other options. Get Breust if you want POD, kicks goals in by far the best team in the comp

Anyone sold on Schoenmakers? Watched the game and looked to be moving well but has barely averaged 70 in a season before.. ugh so many different ways one can trade this week..

Taylor?

Not worth it I reckon, would hardly make any cash from downgrading him.

Or are you meaning to downgrade Taylor so I can get the extra cash to go Mitchell > Simpson?

I definitely want to get Simpson in for Mitchell. Its just a matter of who I downgrade to get the extra cash as I don't have enough to go Mitchell > Simpson with just one trade.

Maybe I should just downgrade Georgiou to Gardiner and get the extra cash in that way?

Next week could then downgrade Kelly > Acres so would then have the cash to upgrade Polec > Pendles.

I like the sound of that.

Then can keep Crouch till round 11 and upgrade him to Selwood. :thumbsu: :rainbow:

I considered him but there are too many negatives. Just can't stay on the ground and when he does he's not a great scorer. When he last played a full season he managed a few scores around 100. They were almost all when Hawthorn had a 10+goal win and he nearly always followed them up with a couple of shockers.
