Does anyone know when the players with byes this week get locked out?
My rucks are Sandi, Minson, Derickx, Currie, and I want to be able to loophole Derickx/Minson via Currie.
However if Currie is locked out at the first bounce tonight, I can't do it.

Can anyone confirm?

Almost certain that bye players don't get locked out till the full lockout at the last match, either way I hardly see the use of that loophole? You really think Derickx is going to outscore Minson against the Dees?

Keen to get Ambrose in & McVeigh (for Mitchell).
I've only got $7K, so I need to get rid of a rookies, the problem is they are all mooing nicely.
Considering MBRs, BE, JS etc, who would you trade this week to get Ambrose in?
From Tyson, Crouch, Dunstan, Robertson, JKH & S. Lloyd
Dunstan is the obvious one to be culled for this week, however I'm likely to get a mid premo next week, so one of the above need to go anyway.
So, I'm thinking to cull Crouch this week and Dunstan next week, better for the MBRs.

But with trading can you trade out bye players at anytime As long as the player you want game has not started yeah or nah?

reckon its more about trading purposes than loophole

If they are locked out at the commencement of game 1 then you'd have no chance to trade.

Thankfully this is not the case and you can trade out any "bye" player right up until the start of the last game

Bye players can be traded at any stage but only for players that haven't yet played during the round.

Just for laughs amidst all this chaos, was discussing Supercoach with a colleague and this week he is trading in Easton Wood, Chris Dawes and Dom Tyson.

Poor bloke doesn't have a clue but wants to try and stay competitive in his leagues with mates (one of them is a cash league). Did my best to explain the error of his ways but I was told I take it too seriously

The fact you still have impey and Rohan is ridiculous. Could have down graded both and made some serious cash, plus you wouldn't have two terrible sc scorers dong sweet fa in your forward line, not to mention Patton.

Cash is far more important than trades man

A player serves two purposes. Either start or make cash on your bench. Limpey serves neither. Unless you want to keep him and scrounge enough change to buy a McHappy meal by the end of the year, it's pointless.

A trade to Ambrose will net you 100k instantly.

Yeah, I'm ranked 8,000th so I need to take a few risks to try to catch up. Rather than doing the standard Watson trade in this week I'm going Steven as a POD to try to catch up. Risky but I've got nothing to lose. No defenders really jump out at me, so happy to take the risk on Walker too.

Absolutely no chance a 195cm forward is going to start with the green vest. Red vest a possibility, but that will be completely based on how the game unfolds.
