Brought in Ambrose, Acres and Harry Taylor for Mitchell x2 and Pyke. Leaves me with $600K+ next week to bring in Bartel (or any other defender) Swan and Martin.

Thoughts on Bartel v Hibberd v Swallow?
Swallow. Bartel often suffers from the dreaded general soreness and could be a huge candidate to get rested come SC finals time

The bombers forward line as not worked well last few weeks.Hopefully Ambrose can get on the end of a few.And Watson can play more in the mids.

Huge amount of talk on the Bombers forum about how important he is as a legitimate 3rd tall to the forward structures, and I tend to agree. JD and Carlisle alone is not working, too easy for defense to manage Bomber FWD 50 entries - they need that 3rd to stretch the opposition.

Have gone Mitchell out for m.johnson as a bit if a pod player, then I've downgraded l.mcdonald to j.lloyd as his be is in the minus, then finally got d.thomas to c.ward. Thoughts?19 trades left then $35,000

Love the MJ and Ward moves!

The 3rd Mobile target is important to some teams. We at the cats lack a 3rd target also, pity mez might not play again.

What trade would be best?

Georgiou-Hibberd
or
Lloyd-Breust/Gray
Both great upgrades. Based on more cash potential in Lloyd, I'd go Georgiou>Hibberd.

It depends significantly upon team composition, style of play and your offensive spread of players. Cats bend this rule based on players and style... Bombers game style wants three tall targets, and forward structure is struggling because JD/Carlisle getting overloaded by defense.

That's a very good point and is also quite expensive.
Toss of the coin between Hibberd and Swallow. If you are willing to spend extra 20k id go Hibberd, more POD, more proven performer and less injury prone. Also less likely to be rested as probably more important to Essendon's structure and GC might try and rest Swallow before finals if they look like they're going to make it, but I do go for Essendon and i'm a bit bias towards the dons. Both great options and incredibly consistent.

Hold

Seems pointless to downgrade to Ambrose for a $60K profit and they both have similar scoring potential. Both equally as liable to be wearing the sub vest as well. ill probably hold Impey for the season if he can keep getting games as bench coverage
Very strange advice. Can only be explained if you're playing Zane in a cash league this week.

There's plenty of point to a downgrade from Impey to Ambrose. As well as the immediate $60k profit from the trade you get the difference between Impey's projected loss of about $26,000 over the bye period and Ambrose's projected gain of about $107,000 in the same time. All up that alone is a gain of over $190,000 from the trade. Add to that the fact that Ambrose has shown he can score decent points. Anyone who has Impey and doesn't already have Ambrose should jump at that trade.

As in Tigers Lloyd? As in I'm playing Melbourne and GWS Lloyd? The same Lloyd who is carrying a sub-affected 23 against Hawthorn in rolling average, but had 74 against Geelong last week?...
Both great upgrades. Based on more cash potential in Lloyd, I'd go Georgiou>Hibberd.
Cheers for the replies guys. Was more than likely going Georgiou-Hibberd but wanted another opinion on the matter. The byes have my head all messed up. Normally have trades in my head and stick with them. This week i've been chopping and changing every bloody day! Last decision on trades is out of Hodge or Burgoyne for Mitchell's spot. Leaning more towards Hodge but am liking Burgoyne too however

Byes have got everyone in a bit of a mess right now it seems. Lloyd will be 300k+ in a few weeks, give him time to roll that 23 out and let me make you some $$$.

As for trade, replied to another on this earlier today, believe its a close toss up mate - both producing similar stuff this season, however - I'ld be serious about Hodge, we know the type destructive score he can regularly produce. Questions about whether Burgoyne can match his current output/compared to Hodge. Based on history, Hodge for me.

Went early on Crouch i know, but with a B/E of around 30odd he has made the bulk of his money already.
