I find it amusing that you claim zero confidence in your own trading ability to do basic 1 up 1 down trades right up until Rd4 because you say you would have stuffed them up somehow, but have 100% confidence in your trading ability when it comes to Gawn > ROB and every subsequent trade that you have made and will make in the future.
Because all one-up, one-down trades come off?

What does it have to do with confidence? The fact is we're comparing what would have been the optimal trade options weeks after the fact. A stupid exercise. 4 trades for a net improvement of 75 points according to averages is a decent result. Yes or no? That should be where the conversation ends.

Who we liking
Bont or macrae?

The high accumulators of the ball m crouch conigs macrae Oliver Merritt aren’t scoring massive atm With low 100’s

Guys impacting games like Cripps Neale Bont Fyfe are standing out with high end 100’s

Worth going Bont and waiting a few weeks for macrae? Or am I just trying to justify getting the 2019 Brownlow medalist in Marcus

Not to mention trading out a perfect weekly vc/c option. Especially the last 2 weeks. Im unsure if he is still trying to convince us, or himself.
I'm sorry who brought it up again?

My VC/C options are so limited with Cripps, Fyfe, Macrae and Grundy. Honestly no idea what to do every week.

Your data is contrived and incorrect though. Fudging the figures is only lying to yourself.

LOL!

Never knew the roughy maneuver was so popular.

I think it's definitely grown in popularity this year. Haha! :D

Before you, I used to trade players back in on the sly and in shame. You've somehow made it socially acceptable and applauded even. That's quite a feat.

I think I'm about to tear up man.

That's one of the nicest things anyone has said to me on here.

But it's not. According to their averages, my team with the four trades relevant to Gawn > ROB is 75 points better than it is without them (aside from other average increases and decreases across the rest of the team).

If you consider the other trade over that time which directly impacts my scoring (Burgess > Hore), the overall weekly averages of player on my team have improved by 95 points over 3 weeks. I'd take that every day.

Haha yeah, I'm pretty much done with it. I'm pretty happy with how the trade has gone thus far. Not going to bother defending it every week anymore.

You're hurting my brain with this nonsense.

You traded in Marshall for a 0 & 108. He is averaging 54 for your team + whatever spud rookie score (if any) you had a forward E on when he was a late out and not his season average of 100.4 which looks nice on the team page but does not represent what he averages for YOUR team.

I don't think anyone should have to defend a strategy that they've come up with to suit their team at the time. We all make decisions based on our own perceptions of this game. If those decisions are wrong, well you have to wear it. If they are right, cudos to you. Simples

I'm swapping Dangerfield FWD this week and I have $645,800 to spend on any MID. Unfortunately I can't afford Neale but I can afford pretty well anyone else. Who would people recommend? Fyfe? Bont? Macrae? Pendles? Gaff? Mundy? Someone else?

Here is my current midfield:

My personal prefs u don't have based on price and form
in order

Bont
Macrae
(both above are also bye friendly to most)
Fyfe (in form, losing mob, bye freindly)
GAJ (in form, winning mob)
Pendles (in form, winning mob)
Merrett (under the radar, goes big)
Yeo (coming into form, decent price)
JPK (losing mob, but usually best 2nd half of season)
Gaff (lottery)
Jelly (no confidence in him right now)

I'd have to use Corbett or SP Balta for cover up forward. LOL!

Then it’s a good thing SP Balta’s coming home like Puffing Billy for us.
TOG% almost certain to break through the 70% barrier sometime before rd 23.
The glorious whiff of a negative BE is so close you can just about taste it already.
Almost feel sorry for all the nuffbots who gave him the arse for superfaults like ROB. Almost.

It was unpredictable and uncontrollable that he was a late out. There's nothing to suggest he might not have ended up in my team had I not made the Gawn > ROB trade. He was always on my radar.

This week I'm considering downgrading Butters to Corbett. I can use that money to upgrade Libba to Bontempelli. If I do that and Bontempelli does his knee this week, it makes the Libba upgrade a failure, not the Butters to Corbett downgrade. Luckily Marshall just had gastro and I copped Petruccelle's E score, which was disappointing last week, but won't keep me up at night if Marshall averages around 100 for the season.

Anyway I'm done arguing. Like I said, I'm happy with the trade, and can't be arsed defending it anymore.

I started things off this year :moustache:

how dumb is the idea to trade danger to boak, and then upgrade a rookie to danger when he goes down to around 480k?
if he is out this week i reckon im doing it.

i have 26 trades left so its slightly less mad.

If you have 26 trades, go for it.
