Good news for anyone who held onto Setterfault. He was BOG in the VFL today. 22 possies, 6 clearances & 6 tackles plus 4 inside 50s. He should be back in for Carlol next week

Setters confirmed for 100+ next week.

Tempted to go:

Clark to Answerth
Libba to Hately

$452,100 in the bank for a double upgrade next week

I've just made those trades.

Considered just Clark - Answerth for the downgrade, but didn't give me enough money for someone I absolutely loved. A few super premos with high break evens this week plus a few rookies likely ready to go next week make it an attractive time for the double downgrade.

I'm on the double down train, it looks too good to miss.

Out J Clark and B Scott (injured in VFL today, so won't see him for a while)
In (of course) Answerth and Hately.
Damn that sucks. Looks like Scott will be my M11 for the year. Hopefully he comes back later in the year and does something

I needed a loophole since trading out bines anyway. He makes a perfect one coz my mid rookies are all over the shop atm

looking at two options;

Drew/Petruccelle > Boak or maybe Daniels (probs boak)
Atkins/Scott > Hatley

Or

Atkins > Hatley
Scott > Neale

First option allows me to upgrade to Whitfield through Durrsma next week.
I think you could wait a couple of weeks for Whitfield. He should have a couple of weeks of decrease before going up if that helps at all.

Trust Corbett’s JS but not sure I trust his scoring.
Don’t really trust Hately or Answerth.

Current team:
D Witherden Williams BSmith Moore Hore Duursma
M Cripps Coniglio Taranto Brayshaw Rocky Brouch Libba Walsh
R Grundy Gawn
F Boak Dangerfield Telly Cameron Worpel Baker

Thinking maybe Libba to H Shaw to bolster defence and free Stack/Ross to come onto ground.

Shaw is an interesting pick, we all know his history of massive scores with some 💩 sprinkled in there... could reward you massively especially with their draw coming up or blow up and be a disaster! Getting Stack/Ross on the ground is handy at the moment though... certainly going better than Libba anyway

How much cash do you have and trades left?

Got another win in my cash league, gained a little ground overall (still way back but enjoy seeing the number drop down a little)

So, here is the situation : $911,700 (wish that was my actual bank account!!!) and 22 Trades in hand

Think that 2 of Collins, Clark & Butters are the obvious trades at this stage (leaning towards Collins & Butters provided no carnage this week). There are 3 ideas floating around at the moment.

1. Double Upgrade - pull the trigger and get two premos in and hopefully improve scoring (got to 2,110 so not disasterous this week) approximately 250k minimum remaining.

2. Up/Down - grab one of the rookies on the bubble and any premo and still have a big cash float for the coming weeks (bye weeks) approximately 600-800k remaining

3. Double Down - take one more week of risk and grab two rookies on the bubble while they are still on the bubble and have approximately a potential 1.2m in hand to upgrade through the byes and as rookies max out.

Ideas? Advice? What would you do in this instance... I know it is a lot of money to have sitting there but also keen to buy at the right time, as Jiska has pointed out several times, buy low/sell high!

Libba to Dunkley was my initial thought.

Too many mid pricers bleeding cash.

Done around 10 scenarios since round 8 open.

Welcome Fyfe and Hately for Libba and Chook.

My trades will be depended entirely on the selections this week. Will double down on Hately and Answerth if they are both named, trading out Brouch and Libba. Will give me a warchest for following weeks. If one or neither are named, I have enough cash to get Fyfe and either Telly or another back. Haven't read through most of this thread but I would be interested to see how much of a mention Ryan has got. 3rd ranked defender now for average. I should have got him on Saturday instead of Sicily. Held him all year last year and was frustrating as hell due to his inconsistency. Looks to have taken the next step this year. Under 3% ownership at the moment.

He could easily be dropped again...

Kelly and Whitfield in
Hately and Cumming out

Lids back in a couple weeks
Tomlinson in career best form
Adam Kennedy plays half back (and wing), also playing well

I don't see how he fits

Hately back out again would be good for me.

I want both he (from Gibbons) and Answerth (from Jordan Clark) this week but if Hately got dropped again (would be stiff) I can spread out my downgrades and go 1 up, 1 down this week instead of double downgrade. :thumbsu:
