ROB (my R3) is another interesting one, just keeps getting better & better....Negative breakeven this week, and will be nudging $400k very soon.

Ditto. Depends on when Jacobs is back (and if Sam takes his spot straight back), but I think I let ROB motor til his bye when I trade him in for something shiny that's already had the bye. Might be Neale or Lloyd at that point - someone I haven't been able to afford otherwise.

Got to watch for commentary on Hately, ideally Leon says he'll give him a run of games and we can lock him in, but the man is a Lyon-esque troll. If he's in, Gibbons or Constable down to Hately.

Don't think I'll have enough in the kitty to go Drew -> Daniel/Dunkley but by **** I hope I will.

I'm just waiting for Brouch to have it all come together and he should start scoring well. Just needs his disposal to click and his tackle numbers can only go up based on his normal standards.

This is how my team sits at the moment. No idea what to do. One option is to trade Duursma and Drew to Answerth and then any fwd or def premo.

Does it make sense to do this and bring in a Boak or Hurn? Or is that spending too much?

Still may do the double downgrade.

Appreciate any thoughts.

I'm jealous of what I assume was the Goldy -> ROB trade. I did the small chol move with the R3 position.

But hey, I guess I got 364 points across my ruck line this week :confused:

I started with lycett and moved him forward. A silver lining in not having grawndy even though it was still the wrong move.

Duurs to Answerth, Libba to Neale

I think Butters -> Answerth, Petrecculle -> Daniel. Leaves 130k in bank.

Next 3 weeks looking at Macrae, Cripps, Whitfield after price drops and heaps of cows still mooing.

Think I can afford to miss Hately even if named.

Look alright?

Ideally I'd make 5 or 6 trades this week. At the moment I'm on a double downgrade:

Libba->Hately
Clark->Answerth

Bevvo has all but ensured the rage trade for the first. Clark has been somewhat disappointing and I think any moos he makes from now will be more whimper-like.

Should Hately not be named, probably will go Drew->Corbett.

I was hoping I could do one trade from Libba to Fyfe but now I'm short of cash so I'll have to do a downgrade trade to either Hately, Answerth or Ronnie.

Hately looks the best available rookie in terms of scoring but has question marks over his JS, would be a risky selection but could pay off if he holds his spot.

Is Devon Smith just a complete write off now? Down to 394k
Yep. Had 78% TOG on the weekend, very low again. He is sore, can't run out a game. I'd need to see a few weeks of high TOG and 90+ scores before I consider him, even at dirt cheap price of ~$350k. My forward line will be finished by then though, so as a M9/F7 swingman is the only option

The sooner they put him on ice and out for the year the better, will be dirt cheap next year with better knees

Any suggestions welcome please ? Thinking 1 up 1 down with maybe Clark out for Corbett via Burgess
And then maybe drew for Caleb Daniel or Boak ?
Wanted to go scrimshaw to Lloyd but with a break even of 136 I’m thinking of holding a week and hoping scrim comes back in and doesn’t go down too much in value
Would like hately but with players like Clark,Drew, Scrimshaw basically at their peaks I feel getting a rookie off the ground is a more pressing matter. Again though open to suggestions?? Playing mostly for cash leagues instead of overall rank although currently ranked at 4K.

Depends how ballsy you wanna get. Goldstein> Boak via Bines. Gets ROB on the ground and either Drew/ Baker to the bench. If you don't want to downgrade at all this week then that would still leave you enough cash to go Walsh> Neale.

Dogs looked good on the weekend so hopefully they keep the same structure for awhile which means Dunkley at 479k looks very juicy. Problem is next weeks crop of rookies coming through look really bad so if you 1 up 1 down this week could leave you exposed next week if no bank, but also the double down has issues as this weeks crop all have JS or scoring issues. Hately looks good but I suspect he wont be maxed out or even playing during the byes so the risk of Krispies then is real. Answerth probably the pick of them.

Prob going Drew/Petru out for Dunkley/Answerth, if Setterfield does not play I will trade Gibbons instead of Petru as I need Danger insurance.

This year especially you need to find the value.

After a bit of thinking I will probably do one of the following.

Option 1
Duursma -> Answerth
Drew -> Luke Ryan (via Moore)

Leaves me with the following sub $400k players on field:
Def: Hore
Mid: 0
Ruck: ROB
Fwd: Moore

Option 2
Duursma -> Answerth
Libba -> Neale

Leaves me with
Def: Moore, Hore
Mid: 0
Ruck: ROB
Fwd: Drew

Option 3
Duursma -> Answerth
B. Scott (or Atkins) -> Hately

Leaves me with
Def: Moore, Hore
Mid: 0
Ruck: ROB
Fwd: Drew

Option 1 is great for bye structure, option 2 is good for getting a better captaincy option, option 3 is good if both rookies end up being decent.

I really want to upgrade Libba this week but sometimes you have to take the rookies when they’re there. Likely double downgrade for me.
