I think Mackay and VB have to play back. Mackay will do kick outs. Grigg and Kerridge on the wings?

Going to be a really tough game with the number of players we have missing

Kerridge is clean with skills and our main weakness as far as I see it is disposal and creating turnovers when we attack.

Laird will stay down there more. last two weeks he has played in the middle as well as defence.

If I was Walsh I would put Paddy across HB for some time today. Provide that run and carry we will miss.

What we will miss with Smith and Jaench out is the movement out of defence, not the actual defenders. Smith has been poor since his Collingwood knock anyway and has been on the wing more than traditional HB.

Possibly. Is probably more likely than Dangerfield.

It is easy for me to say Danger to HB because I am not accountable if it does not work. Lynch is the safer option.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kerridge play the defensive forward role and go to H Shaw, Kerridge can also hurt Shaw on the scoreboard

Will be interesting to see how we go.

Crouch and Lyons are very good at gaining a centre clearance and using it to hit a target upfield. Want to see more of that today. Grigg is more the attacking guy who will want to kick a goal himself, Kegs is the defensive mid who is also dangerous resting in the forward line. Will be interesting to see how this mix works.

Brereton said something like "the good guys versus the evil empire" when referring to this game on Thursday. Not sure what to make of that. The Crows have been many things over the years but evil was never one of them.

I love the telecasts on fox footy but lately they tend to put a theme to every game, and then push it for all it is worth. This can get a little annoying at times. It's the Murdoch influence I think. And this week he wants the boys to push the GWS barrow. Last night they pushed the Carlton/ Malthouse theme to the extreme. Geelong hardly got a mention after their huge victory.
Unfortunately fox seem to be more intrigued by the off field stories than the match in progress.

Personally I'm more interested in how we can contain Cameron and the GWS forwards to a reasonable total.

This could be our Achilles. But I have seen Talia clean Cameron up in the past on this ground (that performance won him the rising star) so I can also see this as more of a problem for GWS.

Dermott does some work with the GWS forwards.. He says that kind of stuff no matter who we are playing. He shouldn't be allowed to commentate or even preview any Giants games.. Very embarrassing.

very excited to see all the guys we want playing in the side. Keep them in for a few rounds. However, I feel like we have too many new faces in at once for me to be confident about winning this game now.
