Had a bit of a change of heart. I've always tried to play the long game and I want to ensure I can get 2 premos in over the next 2 weeks as well as not being utterly f’ed for the byes so...
If Kent Brockman is named (even if he's not probably still do it but I'll feel better if he is) think I'll double down Rowe and McCreery -> Poulter and RCD
Initially was going to trade trade Rowe to Poulter and upgrade one of the forward rooks to Hall to save some $$$ but I want to bring in Titch next week and I'm cutting it fine if I trade Warner and I don't think I'd make it at all if I traded Robertson. Bergman still has mooing to do and is solid on field so not keen on trading him yet either. I'm happy to sit thin in the forwards given all the premos suck serious chol

Leaves 326k in the bank to upgrade likely Powell + Robertson/Warner to 2 premos next week worth approx. $1m. Will look for value up forward so I can go to a MID SP. 6 rookies on field but hopefully only 4 (5 if you count Cripps ) this time next week - Jordon, Bergman, Poulter and one of Warner/Robertson. Will probably aim to get one more off and then trade the rest through the byes

Ye I get that, but can't you just trade out someone else not named Powell

I'm in the same boat as Pocket, any other trade pairing leaves me short for TMitch and sadly Powell needs to make way. Learning year for me as I haven't played in years so ended up going Byrnes over Poulter as well, burnt already by 2 dud Pies rookies and wanted more Saints in my team (currently have Clarke & Highmore...want Steele and Big Rowan eventually).

Powell/Errol for TMitch/Byrnes. Orazio & Warner stay, just couldn't make things work to cull them instead of Powell. Also kinda didn't need RCD last week but oh well

Powell has served very. very well, sad to see him go

Brought him in for Caldwell, he pumped out some SP scores, then I jumped off him when he fell to 463k and started to look like an old man again. Think a 165k profit, along with the original 50k profit gained from downgrading Caldwell, can hardly be called a loss, given I only used one extra trade in that whole scenario than I otherwise would've (as Caldwell was always gonna be upgraded eventually anyway)



But then I went Tex > Bolton

165k is a decent profit and you had the sense to jump off before the inevitable. Bolton was terrible luck, the idiot was scoring really well too.

Surely Harmes is a safer, cheaper option than Jezza? I've already done the key fwd thing with Tex

And I think it would be better to trade Gulden now rather than Fantasia.

Gulden to premo mid (up to 580k) or Mills/Lloyd/Doch via Laird to mids.

Had a discussion earlier in the week with my trades. Was initially going to do one down/one up:
1. Cox/Rowe > Poulter.
2. Powell > Mitchell.

Should I hold off with Mitchell and get him next week and do a double downgrade?
1. Cox/Rowe > Poulter.
2. Gulden > Byrnes.

Appreciated. Last one from me, out of curiosity, what don't you like about my second option. Is it your concern over Josh Kelly as a premium or because you think there's more money to be made / value in keeping Powell?

Powell is a great rookie and I would like to keep him as long as possible
You can still do that Jelly trade next week, just get rid of the bad rookies first whilst building up your next Cash Gen

thinking I’ll loop highmore. If he scores over 75 I’ll swing laird to mids and loop with sharp and double downgrade tex and Warner to poulter and RCD. If highmore scores badly I’ll probably go tex and Warner to poulter and titch or jelly.

planning to trade aggressively through the byes and come out with no less than 8 trades and a complete team.

Change of plans, Ill keep Kozi and upgrade Campbell to Zorko instead. One reason ive changed plans is that i cant wait till saturday night to see if Ridley is in or not (with talk he may be under an injury cloud) and this way i also get to move a rookie forward off my field and keep Butts in my starting lineup. Hopefully Butts does indeed score more than the forward rookie ive now benched (Robertson or Scott)
