Past 2 weeks, Cameron has stepped up. I reckon he was one of our better players today.

WHE probably holds on until Elliott is back for mine. Can’t really drop him after 14 disposals and 2 goals. Plenty worse.

Begg’s unlucky but Checkers needs more support when Cameron rucks and Cameron is struggling as a first ruck. I think I’ve now seen enough of T Brown and Bianco to know I’d like to try others.

In: Macrae - McInnes - Cox

Macrae plays the inside role Tyler has been given and Reef takes Bianco role forward/mid. Two inexperienced in for two inexperienced outs.

I can’t believe I’m giving Cox another chance and it’s more a reflection of Cameron’s performance as first ruck than Begg’s as 2nd ruck. Our forward structure needs more height so Cameron goes back forward and Cox goes to first ruck.

Begg to go back but spend more time forward so we can see what he’s got.

WHE is one of our most senior players. He should be doing far more. Especially off a wing.
One of his goals was an off the back of a pack Xmas gift. The other was after a flashy act… which he tantalises with. Shows you he can do. But does it rarely enough. He peaked in 2018. Has been patchy at best since. I’m happy to drop him if there is another “winger” that deserves a try out… Quaynor? Naicos? McRae? Poulter?

If you’re looking to drop a wingman for not getting enough disposals today then you should probably take a look at Josh Daicos’ stats.

Honestly, I don’t want a 11/11 season with us just missing the 8. I’d rather a heap of honourable losses with games into younger players and veterans that sees us get an early draft pick. No other way is going to improve us. So definitely up for changing the players around seeing what works and doesn’t.

Cameron’s future is forward/ruck so let’s play him in that position. Happy to give young players a game but don’t destroy them in the AFL. I agree. And if WHE has a game as bad as Josh’s today I’ll be calling for him to be dropped. But as it stands, 15 disposals and 2 goals off a forward flank and wing isn’t grounds for omission.

I agree with this.
Im not sure where Begg fits into 2022, he's been manhandled but he shows plenty around the ground. Needs a few pre seasons in the gym but he's a work in progress and does some really good things out there especially for a 2nd gamer.

And yep, we have a lot of kids who show promise so let's see how they go.
