Re: Round 15 Trades

lots of people are looking at strijk, but is his JS really that good?

i'm looking at henderson (again) and have the same concern, as bock should be due back soon. will pull the trigger on barlow -> montagna tomorrow, but fyfe -> henderson is tempting too. i'll have 5 trades left after barlow, and have one or two upgrades i'd like to do towards the end of the season so cash is always good

Re: Round 15 Trades

If I trade Schmidt for Strijk and Barlow for best available (probably Swan or Montagna, but haven't researched enough), I will have a full lineup which was going to be a borderline miracle as recently as 24 hours ago. Kudos to Ben Cousins, for letting Webberley take his spot in the side. And for Lewis Stevenson, who finally found the formula to get back in the ones for West Coast. It's not getting a truckload of it in the WAFL, it's getting injured and only playing half a game. Crazy side.

Re: Round 15 Trades

what do people think of this trades

fyfe > tarrant (as f7 for this week covering brown)
barlow > swan

with 210k left over for upgrade of leunberger to sandi come finals time

leaving 4 trades and 1 upgrade left?
opinions please

Re: Round 15 Trades

Was hoping for some feedback on my Barlow trade. 4 trades left, $34k in bank.

B: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Gilbert, Malceski, Waite, Hurn (Roberton & Strijk)
M: Ablett, Montagna, Swan, Dal Santo, Selwood, BARLOW (Gysberts & Shuey)
R: Sandilands, NicNat (Trengove & Lobbe)
F: Pavlich, ROK, Didak, Franklin, Goodes, Higgins, Pods (TDL & Roberts)

Option 1:
Barlow > Judd (+ $30k)

Option 2: Barlow > Gilbee (+ $125k)

I was set on #1 but am thinking, with my poor midfield cover & only 3 remaining trades, Gilbee's MPP would be very, very handy.

Thoughts?

i thought the same with kelly, however since your mid bench players arent playing it wont do u any good unless gilbee himself gets injured.

Re: Round 15 Trades

I wonder if i should just trade Warnock for an 83ker and just leave P.Davis and Webberley.

Really, Warnock is a waste doesn't look like getting a game, i'd rather pocket the money. Would get an extra 12k over Webberley to Strijk too....

Thoughts...?

Hey Ed whos your other benched ruck?

Re: Round 15 Trades

Another 83ker,

I only really brought this up as i'm left with no cover either way. Thought just downgrading Warnock may have been a left-field choice. :D
Well I see Jordan Roughead has been named to replace Will Minson so he looks like a good option. If that gives you enough cash to complete your other trades then I reckon it looks like a better move than downgrading Webberly or Davis

EDIT: I assume you kow Hall's B/E is 144 this week so he could drop a fair bit, but so will Roo I guess.

Re: Round 15 Trades

Considering the Barlow trade one more time.

Considering Judd/Montagna as my two main options with Gilbee as the smoky.

Pretty sure I'll go to Montagna (no problem having 5 Saints - Goddard, Fisher, Dal Santo, Montagna and maybe Riewoldt - if four average over 100 and one is very close) but considering the other two still. Montagna also has more upside than Judd for SC IMO.

Thoughts?

Would Warnock to Roughead (94k) be enough for you?

Warnock looks gone and with Minson's injury, Roughead should get a few.

I wouldn't trade Webs yet.

I got both Judd and Monty but Monty has been alot more consistent. if had to choose out of the two would be Monty.

My problem is as follow playing Sheedy this week my team is better than his on paper but i am going to cop a big fat 0 seeing Stanley is out. coming

Option 1. Barlow --> Boyd save the trade till hille is back.

Option 2 Hille---> jolly. Barlow ---> Swan left with 4 trades

I think i can beat him with a 0 im averaging 2183 Sheedy avreaging 2077. IMO once Hille is back he will score round the same as Jolly anyway so will be waste of trade but might mean a loss in league and loose top 2 spot.

What to do?

Yea I agree. I traded in Montagna, but i already had Judd, so it was out of Swann / Monty/ Hayes or Higgins as a smokey that would leave some cash and allow the C/F switch. Higgins was averaging 100 in first 7 rounds and is just coming back.

Re: Round 15 Trades

but will be survive when hurn comes back?

Yes. He's a good 21 year old that has shown a lot of promise and woosha has said he will play the kids for rest of season.

Bones or Hams will come out for Hurn unless Strijk is sore.

Sheppard should play all season

Don't forget we lost Dalziell for the season this week and Ash smith is named for first game.

Re: Round 15 Trades

Can i have some help with this please.

If you are taking a zero every week for Goose, definately trade him out ASAP.

Should I go ...

Option 1 - Barlow to Judd, and take the zero from Hille (Stanley as cover and it could be more zeroes).

Option 2 - Trade out Barlow for Murphy and get Jolly for Hille.

Option 3 - Don't trade, take Hille's zero and let Banner cover Barlow for a bit and see how things go.

5 trades left, with JB and Hurn injured on the bench.

Goose failed a fitness test this week so you'd think he'll be right next week. After holding onto him for so long another week won't kill you.

Re: Round 15 Trades

NDS or Chapman?

I just can't decide.

Chappy avgs 10 points more for only 2k more but is a chance to miss at least another game you would thinkthen again maybe not?

NDS has the great St Nic back this week, so a few more marks I50 should be marked and getting a few GA's.

to compliment GAj, Montagna, Bartel, Judd & Pendlebury. Sadly 6k short of Swan.

Chapmans had a run of bad luck with end of season injuries.

Re: Round 15 Trades

Man, looking at everyone's midfield, it looks like I have the weakest...

Ablett, Swan, Dal Santo, Montagna, Selwood, Simpson

I believe that Simpson isn't the elite that everybody else's M6 is but I'll manage :D.
