Re: Round 15 Trades

If you are taking a zero every week for Goose, definately trade him out ASAP.

Should I go ...

Option 1 - Barlow to Judd, and take the zero from Hille (Stanley as cover and it could be more zeroes).

Option 2 - Trade out Barlow for Murphy and get Jolly for Hille.

Option 3 - Don't trade, take Hille's zero and let Banner cover Barlow for a bit and see how things go.

5 trades left, with JB and Hurn injured on the bench.

2nd option for sure.

Jolly is flying and Murphy speaks for himself.

Re: Round 15 Trades

NDS or Chapman?

I just can't decide.

Chappy avgs 10 points more for only 2k more but is a chance to miss at least another game you would thinkthen again maybe not?

NDS has the great St Nic back this week, so a few more marks I50 should be marked and getting a few GA's.

to compliment GAj, Montagna, Bartel, Judd & Pendlebury. Sadly 6k short of Swan.
Saints run home is pretty delicious so i'd go NDS...but i'll add most of my trades have gone to shit this year so i don't know if my vote is worth considering

I've made the unique trade of Barlow to Montagna and am seriously considering -
Waters -> Shaw/Duffield/Scotland

Shaw - seems to be picking up form and 7 games at the G to finish off the year
Duffield - Freo have nice run home. 4 games at Subi and Barlow down should see him spend more time in the midfield (admittedly i don't see many Freo games so he could already be there :D
Scotland - has been the most consistent of the 3 but have a toughish run home playing dogs, pies, cats, freo

What do we reckon fellas? I've got 4 trades left after the Monty trade and JB still in my team.

Re: Round 15 Trades

Robbie Tarrant (Kangaroos) 1st gamer this week?

Either him or TDL maybe.

Really no obvious forward rookie options which is making life hard.

I don't trust Shaw with tags, sorry.

Scotland is better value given his scoring but the tough run home might sway me Duffield's way.

Re: Round 15 Trades

Man, looking at everyone's midfield, it looks like I have the weakest...

Ablett, Swan, Dal Santo, Montagna, Selwood, Simpson

I believe that Simpson isn't the elite that everybody else's M6 is but I'll manage :D.

Simpson is that unique who can do the business for you..

Definitely doing Barlow tp Montags..
Hille 2-3 away.. Really tempted to bring Jolly in..

Help me decide!! Ahhh!!!

I beg to differ, that's about as good as it gets.

I like your midfield. :thumbsu: Simpson is a pretty good unique pick, just think of all the places you gain when he has a week out like last weekend :thumbsu:

Who've you got playing in place of Hille at the moment? How many trades left?

Barlow to Montagna = :thumbsu:

Re: Round 15 Trades

Went Barlow to Montagna, in a straight swap. Get to ride out the season with Ablett Swan Montagna Cross Bartel & Judd.

I'm in exactly the same situation.

My view on Shaw now though is that he doesn't seem to get tagged as often because O'BRIEN is flying also and he plays a similar running off half back role.

There is just something about SCOTLAND, not sure what it is.

I don't know much about DUFFIELD apart from the fact that he is not that common in supercoach which is a good thing.

Re: Round 15 Trades

getting rid of Barlow + need to move fyfe on to avoid a donut, thoughts on these options? Only 6 trades left!

1 Barlow > Pendles/Montagna
Fyfe > Goodes (dare I say it)/Danger

2 Barlow > Kade Simpson
Fyfe > Dale Thomas

Re: Round 15 Trades

Barlow to Montagna =

Yeah peanuts Eddie G. Nothing but fat yank cop doughies.. Warnock and Lobster

6 trades and bugger all cash money (17k)

Just looked who I could get for JB instead of using Gumbleton's useless but I suppose some points.. cue Ryan Houlihan avg 89:eek:

Re: Round 15 Trades

what do people think of this trades

fyfe > tarrant (as f7 for this week covering brown)
barlow > swan

with 210k left over for upgrade of leunberger to sandi come finals time

leaving 4 trades and 1 upgrade left?
opinions please

I like it. But is it necessary that you trade Fyfe who is only just missing this week?? Must win league game??

May as well ride them out then i guess if you've had 2 already in the ruck. :p

I feel for everyones forward situation, they've been pretty terrible across the board as far as depth + consistency goes. Is Ryan Houlihan the saviour? ;)

Houlihan's avg caught my attention.. 89 and just around the 400k mark. Thought okish. Then saw most of his tons and avg is from the early rounds.. hmm

Geez, Hille's injury is annoying me. Not sure I can hold on for another 2-3

Re: Round 15 Trades

Now who is going to start some BS rumours about Montagna, Judd or whoever replaces Barlow, being a late withdrawal..

Piss off or I'll ****ing shoot ya.. in the words of Chopper.

Want the cash for future upgrades as Ive got shit all cows n no money so this is a good opportunity also would rather swan over Monty
need about 300,000 to upgrade leunberger to Sandi

Re: Round 15 Trades

Yes. He's a good 21 year old that has shown a lot of promise and woosha has said he will play the kids for rest of season.

Bones or Hams will come out for Hurn unless Strijk is sore.

Sheppard should play all season

Don't forget we lost Dalziell for the season this week and Ash smith is named for first game.

eagles website refers him as a "rebounding half-back or midfielder with neat skills and a penetrating kick", hence my concern once hurn comes back.

unfortunately i picked webberley over sheppard :(

Swap NDS with Judd and that's my midfield thomas!! :D:thumbsu: Bit worried about having 2 cats and 2 blues in there but should be pretty good. Barlow > Simpson saved me some $$ for upgrading to Pav, Roo & Gilbee/Gilbert in the coming weeks and I reckon he'll be just as good as the other options anyway.

Re: Round 15 Trades

I have 3 saints in my midfield [with Goddard at backline] to have some point of difference with others....

Ablett, Swan, Judd, Montagna, Dal Santo, Hayes

I'm a bit concerned with Riewoldt back but that's okay.

Re: Round 15 Trades

Barlow

mid GAJ, Swan, NDS, Goodes,Martin, (bastinac, Gysberts)

looking at chappy, judd, montagna, selwood, hayes, , Gilbee(mpp benefiT)

already have 4 cats and 2 saints in side(and looking at roo in 2 weeks)

think judd may be the go as he is unlikely to be rested

(was going to upgrade martin but now i cant, will have 4 trades left with JB and goose sitting on the pine)

thoughts pls

Re: Round 15 Trades

Went

Barlow -> Montagna
Shuey -> McNeil, to get cash for Roo, but mainly to allow Goodes to come in from the forward line to cover for Mitchell

Next week Waters -> Scotland, baring another injury nightmare

Final team barring a disaster, woot- currently 160ish overall:

Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Gilbee, Scotland, Shaw, Fisher (Davis, Webberly)
Ablett, Swan, Montagna, Judd, Pendlebury, Mitchell (McNeil, Gysbers)
Sandilands, Cox (Warnock, X)
Chapman, Pavlich, Riewoldt, ROK, Harvey, Goodes, Pods (Watts, Rohan)

Re: Round 15 Trades

I have a bit of a trade dilemma with Barlow and am hoping for some opinions.

My current situation:

3 trades remaining with $98,500 in the bank.

My midifeld consists of: Bartel, Dal Santo, Judd, Barlow, Boyd, Mitchell (Cunnington, Gysberts).

The two options i am tossing up with are:

1. Upgrade Barlow to Swan. This leaves me with $34,500.

or

2. Downgrade Barlow to Watson or Hayes leaving me with $157,700.

Thoughts?

I'm in a very similar situation here.

3 trades remaining, with 96.5k and Barlow in the team.

After considering Judd, Montagna, Swan and Pendlebury, I thought that I'd need more cash if I wanted big Roo later. So I looked for cheaper options, like Hayes, Watson and B.Harvey.
But I made the decision to get Mitchell. Then lo and behold he had surgery on his hand.

Then I chose Kade Simpson.

Bargain basement pick at 466,000, average of 105 (2 points less than Watson, and 3 points more than Hayes) and capable of big scores, as evidenced by his 151 last week.

Decisive time in my BF league, as I'm mid table.

It's a gamble, but I'm willing to take it.
