Re: Round 15 Trades

i just traded barlow for ablett, and I am looking for another trade?

I dont have a lot of cash, so I am thinking of downgrading Josh Hunt for a good young player who has the potential to go up in price

maybe dylan roberton or are there any other suggestions

I hope you didn't this week because his BE is really low (unless you went for Strijk, then I would understand the necessity). Actually once my backline is done next week I'm just planning to leave him as bench cover for the year, he's a pretty decent option who'll give you some good 70-80s.

P.S. Roberton's gone up too much now to be a worthwhile downgrade.

Re: Round 15 Trades

Saints run home is pretty delicious so i'd go NDS...but i'll add most of my trades have gone to shit this year so i don't know if my vote is worth considering

I've made the unique trade of Barlow to Montagna and am seriously considering -
Waters -> Shaw/Duffield/Scotland

Shaw - seems to be picking up form and 7 games at the G to finish off the year
Duffield - Freo have nice run home. 4 games at Subi and Barlow down should see him spend more time in the midfield (admittedly i don't see many Freo games so he could already be there :D
Scotland - has been the most consistent of the 3 but have a toughish run home playing dogs, pies, cats, freo

What do we reckon fellas? I've got 4 trades left after the Monty trade and JB still in my team.
Ended up doing
Barlow to Montagna
Waters to Duffield

Somewhat of a luxury trade i suppose but just get the feeling Duffield is about to explode. Here's to hoping anyway.

Nice IDIG. I bought in Joey also along with the other 150,000 people. How many trades does that leave you with?

Round 16 Trades

I know its a bit nearly but i've got nothing better to do,

Any way, I have 2 trades left and I have $138K in the bank

And I've got a few options in mind, might not make them this week but still would like some advice

1. Brown > Roo
Save 1 trade for finals/LTI or trade Heath > rookie for cover (most likely guys atm are O'brien (Bris) and T.Slattery

2. Brown > schneider
Save 1 trade for finals/LTI or trade Heath > rookie for cover

3. Brown > Schneider
Wait and hope Roo drops eough so I can go Gumby > Roo

What are peoples ideas on Schneider, avg. 110 last 4 games without getting to many possies (avg around 20) Hes very unique and well priced, only problem is I might miss out on Roo

Thoughts?

Roo will drop to under 450k with his huge breakeven. I'd wait on it myself, since Brown should be back next week according to an article I read.

Am i missing something? Brown due back in 1 or 2? Seems a bit of a waste to trade him now especially for Schneider.

IMO keep the 2 trades for long term injury/donut cover. Obrien and Slattery arent cover as there playing in the reserves.

Undersatnd what you mean, with brown being back possibly next week but is he worth keeping, when he was inj he wasnt scoring well avg 70 in his last 5 games and with finals pretty much out of the question he could be put in cotton wool for a bit longer, and with his next 3 games agianst Geelong and the Hawks I dont think he will score well.

And again pretty much what I just said, I dont think he will score well or even play many games and I dont think Schneider is that bad for a unique pick, he is in good form and got a great run home.

And I know both Obrien and Slattery are playing reserves, but im not saying Im gonna trade them in this week, both their teams arent going anywhere and eventually will play these guys in the last few rounds, where as swans are still pushing for finals and will play the best 22 each week

Anyway thats just a sample I guess of what I could do in the next few weeks, not saying I am going to do it just wanted some input. So yea thanks guys

while i fully understand what you mean, isnt JB the epitomy of what a footballer should be - keen to get back out there and do his best every time - and if fully fit again, free of injury then id be bringing him straight in. considering it aint a leg injury like roo, im far more inclined to take JB than roo. will give him one game to prove his fitness, then its trade time.

Love him to bits, I do JB great to see him when hes going but trying doesnt get you points. He may be inj prone coming into SC finals and thats why im wary of keeping him. But then again so is Roo and he may be put in cotton wool for AFL finals meaning he will be out of our SC finals.
Now I Dont know the players or the Staff personally so I dont know what there conditions are, but from resent histroy I have the knowledge that teams that wont make finals send players for surgery early or rest up inj. and teams that have a top 4 position secure rest stars and inj for finals

Thats why im looking at Schneider isnt a 'star' player and is not inj prone and has been in very good form so he more than likely will play the rest of the season, his last 4 games he has avg 110 and the saints have a delicious run home. And is very unique so he may give me a slight edge to get up the rankings. I think he is a high risk/high reward but from what ive said he doesnt look like to bad of pick

Re: Round 16 trades

Trying to wait until Roo drops and see if i can go from Hitchcock to him.

Re: Round 16 trades

Brown injured
Rounds 7-11: Avg 71.6

Brown not injured:
First 3 rounds: Avg 147.33

Note the difference between an injured and non-injured Brown?? :p Even if you take his first 6 rounds = Avg 117.50 (that includes a 39!). He's a legend... An uninjured Brown is a great Brown. I'm thinking a few 170+'s for finals is possible.

I think you'll have to take into account good Brisbane and crap Brisbane into that equation. If anything, I could see them putting him away come finals time, since Brisbane are no chance this year.

That also assumes that good Brown is the Brown that reappears after this break. I believe it will be rusty Brown first followed by average Brown then followed by good Brown but you never know.

thanks for doing the work to show my point. played when others wouldnt.
if he's right he's right back in.

Re: Round 16 trades

Goddard being out cost me a win lost by 30 in a top of the table clash in my league, i'll drop to 5th but have 8 trades and 167,000 in the bank also play 3 sides i should beat. Looking to hold all until round 18 then use 2 a week for any injuries that may come along. i av 2150 per week. Is that the way to go?

Re: Round 16 trades

5 Trades left and $280,000 in bank...
Kept Barlow and played Bastinac (87, not bad!)
So this week i may do Barlow to Boyd (Need a POD in mids)
Hopefully Brown comes back this week also so i can figure out who to dump for Chapppy...

Fwds: ROk, Rioli, Goodes, Hall, Pods, Rokcliff, Hitchcock (BROWN/Gumby)

Will probably be Hall to Chappy, if apparent ankle injury keeps him out..

Which'll leave me with 3 trades and roughly $150,000 to upgrade Rokcliff or Brown (if he's struggling) to Riewoltd (if lookin ok) or Pav (DIRT CHEAP)

Good times!

Re: Round 16 trades

Been ravaged by injuries this week. Hoping to do these in's -

In - Goddard, J.Brown, Fyfe

Out - Webberly, Gumby, Hitchy.

Webberly may get a reprieve if Waters misses. :thumbsu:

3 trades left and $308,000 in the bank. Next trade in a couple of weeks will be -

Giumby > N.Riewoldt.

Only need another gun defender then and will most likely use my last 2 trades in the finals to get one by going Roberton/Webberly > someone.
