Re: Round 15 trades

Yeah he should be back just in time for yet another multi-bye round  I'm going for a league win and have 6 trades left (team completed) so I'll probably hold onto him.

The problem I have is if every time he pulls up sore they rest him then maybe its worth getting rid of him now. I have enough cash to trade him to Franklin or maybe fyfe, do it?
If you don't have Franklin get him now - not sure of the make up of the rest of your forward line but Franklin is a must have, hawks have that dream run home and will be fighting for top 4 so doubt too many rests will be coming frankies way

Re: Round 15 trades

Got 11 trades left, I'll be going duigan to fisher which leaves me enough to do krak to priddis next week.
Then I only need to upgrade heppel, n reiwoldt and then Gibbs for finals.

Yeah I would if your team is complete and you have 6 trades. The other option is leave him on the bench and upgrade a bench player to Franklin, but that will cost you 2 trades, probably too risky.

Fwd line is N.roo, J.Roo, Okeefe, Rioli, Brennan, Goodes, Lynch, Darling, McKernan

If I get Franklin (plus get rid of Sandi for McEvoy) I’ll only have 4 trades left for the rest of the season. Will it be enough?

Re: Round 15 trades

You can never be sure with these things, but 4 sounds like a pretty good number from where others are at. It's a toss up between using them now & riding your luck or taking the conservative approach. Most of us are in the same boat (or will be). I say go hard!

Hmm, well the good thing is I’ve avoided players with byes in finals, so other than Bartel I shouldn’t need to trade anyone else. The only thing I worry about is players getting rested for crucial games and major injuries. Is Franklin fully over his calf problem? The last thing I want is to bring him in only to have him injured.

Ah, sorry mate, forgot you mentioned you were looking for a league win.
In that case 4 is probably the very least you would want to take into finals.
Buddy is a very tasty proposition after Round 17 IMO- byes will be done, and he still has a BE of 150 odd so could drop $20k this week alone.

Cheers, yeah I'll wait it out this week and see how I feel about it next week.

Re: Round 15 trades

If you had to keep one of hibberd or heppell for the rest of the season, cash having no factor no the decision, who would you keep?

Heppell has the potential to score much higher. both should play for rest of the season. Hibbered playing tighter defensive role whilst Heppel is allowed to create. Heppell for sure

agree - with the hawks list decimated at present, waiting til AFTER the bye is the best option when they see a return of most of those injured.

considering i have no hawks at present, i will be loading up on them from then. thankfully i have the trades.

Yeah I kind of forgot about the league wins part as well. If you know you can get into the finals with Rioli on the bench for the next 3 weeks then I wouldn't even bother with trading him, I'd only do it if you needed some wins and have tough opponents coming up.

Yeah I'm top in one and third in another so I should be fine. I'll hold him.

provided you have plenty of MPP coverage then yes (I hope)

Re: Round 15 trades

Hey All,

If going for a league win only and with consideration of finals, who would you recommend for trading Sandilands to?

I'm looking at Sandi > Jamar but still undecided... any thoughts?

In terms of a value buy I'd go for Mumford in a week or two. His price should be dropping.

There may be better options as far as form is concerned and if money isn't an issue... certainly Cox would be top of the list if you don't already have him.

Cheers Robbus,

I should have been clearer. Current Rucks are Sandi, Cox, Smith, Derickx with no MPP options. Which means if I do get Mummy i'll be copping a zero..

Still think Mumford is the option?

Jamar or Goldstein (Smith covers goldstein for finals bye)

Mummy just doesn't seem to be mummy this year

Re: Round 15 trades

Hey guys,

I have Sandilands, Cox, Smith & Redden. I have Petrie in my forwardline and I'm considering trading Sandilands to someone like J.Tipper for the cash and so Petrie can help cover Cox this week and other weeks where I might be down a ruck.

Sounds risky but I also need a win this week.

Cheers

Re: Round 15 trades

Contemplating a couple of different trades this week.

My side with 11 trades left:

D: Deledio Gibbs Goddard Shaw Enright Broughton Lower (Puopolo, Jacobs & Howard)

M: Boyd Judd Ablett Swan Hodge Krakouer (Illes, Hibberd & Mzunga)

R: Cox Sandilands (Smith & Bailey)

F: Pavlich ROK Sylvia Goodes Franklin Roo Smith (Darling, Knights & Richardson)

Options:

1. Bench Sandilands and play Smith/Bailey using trades elsewhere
2. Downgrade Sandilands and play Smith/Bailey/Other
3. Trade Sandilands to Petrie/J.Tippet/Lobbe and downgrade Darling/Knights to the other MPP

Any thoughts? The last two options make me some money. Option 3 gives me even more versatility but the Kangas bye comes into consideration

Yeah, if you're looking to avoid that 0 then Jamar and Goldstein are decent options, slim pickings with Rucks. Would be nice to have the luxury of seeing Jamar play a couple - I think he's really good though. Goldstein is in great form, but you'll be covering him in the bye as toxic said... if you're prepared to do that then it kinda opens the door to Petrie even Kreuzer if you wanted to take a punt on him.

You can easily hold onto your trades, or use them elsewhere. You'll have Smith & Bailey on the field so it isn't like you need to avoid a donut.

I probably wouldn't go to the trouble of the double trade just to get Petrie that seems like a bit much, you could still make money just by going Sandi > Jamar for example.

good luck!

What is the rest of your team like? It might be worth a downgrade to a bargain priced rookie to help out your team elsewhere, particularly if you have Smith in the rucks.

Re: Round 15 trades

Hi Lads, I have a current team of

Goddard, Delidio, Newman, Broughton, Gibbs, Suckling Heppell (Puopolo, Strauss, Toy)

Pendlebury, Swan, Judd, Priddis, S. Thompson, Montagna (I. Smith. Jacobs, Callinan)

Cox, Sandilands (Smith, Bailey)

Franklin, Pavlich, Chapman, Sylvia, Goodes, N. Riewoldt, Rioli (Didak, Mzungu, Richardson)

I have about 280k in the bank and was planning on just going Puops to Fisher and have Heppell as cover. Although now I'm thinking I should fix my mistake and get Ablett in for one of Judd, Monts or Thompson and then upgrade Heppell to Shaw? Thoughts on which way I should be looking? Cheers
