Re: Round 15 trades

Jamar and a defensive jet, no kreuz, goldy, ottens or any of those bomber duds due to your finals stipulation

Yeah, really liking Jamar's SC finals fixture, although I think Mummy's more capable of big 150+ scores. Sydney's more consistent performances also tick boxes for the sausage man. Tough choice either way.

Failed to mention, but Heppell will actually be upgraded to my final onfield Mid. Thinking Ablett or Selwood (and just hope that neither get rested toward the end of the year) or maybe Pavlich or Mitchell as smokies who will save me some cash.

Re: Round 15 trades

reading about the 'swinging premo' has also got me thinking.

Team as is..

Goddard, Deledio, Grundy, Enright, Gibbs, Suckling, Lower (Puopolo, L Thompson, Batchelor)

Swan, Judd, s Thompson, Priddis, Ablett, Pendlebury (Bewick, Mzungu, Jacobs)

Cox, Smith (Vardy, J Tip)

Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, N Riewoldt,, Chapman, J Riewoldt, Petrie (Darling, Siposs, Richo)

in doing Darling > Callian and Mzungu > Sylvia leaves me short in the rd 16 bye area as it clashes with Thomo's bye. Which has got me thinking about Brennan. No more byes, solidish scoring.. silly idea?? 8 trades and 21k left.. not many options.. short of Fyfe, Higgins doesn't excite me.. hmm
Personally I'd do an backline upgrade before I'd worry about getting a FWD/MID DPP. You look one short of a premium there.

Re: Round 15 trades

Daniel Cross owners, what are your thoughts? Has he turned the corner with his 100 and 112 in the last two weeks or should i get Dane Swan in this week. Or can i hold off considering his b/e is 41 and Swan's is 80 odd.

Also that Mid/Fwd discussion has completely thrown out my trade plans. Chappy looks like a must now.

Re: Round 15 trades

reckon I need to upgrade lower this week??
I think you need to look at who you want as your DEF cover. While Lower might be the most expesive he also currently with Puopolo looks the most likely to play out the year and provide good cover for you. Out of those, if cash isn't a problem, L.Thompson is the weakest of them all.

Yeah been thinking about keeping Lower. Actually I think all my emergs are going to play out the year. Batchelor is steady for the Tiges and with Phil Davis and Scott Stevens out, Luke Thompson will play but there is no doubt Luke Thompson is my weakest defender but of course, my cheapest.

Darling > Callian and L Thompson > 434k (Shaw, Chaplin, Duffield, Broughton territory)

Broughton looks most likely to spend time in the middle of all the options around that price

If you have more than 7 trades left, then I'd definitely do Cross > Swan.

Can you post the rest of your mids?

Have to agree, if he has plenty of trades left, why not?

But if he's stuck with Cross this long though, don't see why he can't persist now that he's put out 2 tonnes in the last fortnight.

Post mids and fwds and amount of trades left. Maybe there could be a different option which would allow downgrading someone to Callinan and upgrading a different mid perhaps?

Re: Round 15 trades

Sandi to Moran, Puopolo to Deledio this week, Heppell or Hibberd to Priddis next week.

Leaves me with either H to swap with Jacobs between Defence and forwards as required. Leaving Otten as my D8 and either Heppel/Hibberd/Jacobs/Mzungu/Callinan as M7.

Nice team, man. How many trades have you got left? The main change that jumps out at me there is I. Smith, I'd upgrade someone in the forwards, maybe Krak > O'Keefe or something?

Fisher would be a decent addition to your backline (obviously) but seems like there's a bigger weakness at the forwards, to me anyway.

I've had Boak all season and plan on keeping him, he scores pretty well every so often, I'd only dump him if I found myself with a whole bunch of trades handy.

good luck :)

Thanks for your response mate, i have 107,800 in the kit and 9 trades left.
Wouldnt mind getting Fyfe in for either Yarran or Krakouer. Probably Yarran because of his bye in finals, and i think Fyfe is pretty well priced for a bloke that can play mid/fwd and avgs over 100. Im not sure i want to trade Smith just yet, i think there is more growth in him

Re: Round 15 trades

Seems like Sam Fisher will be in 100% of teams by Friday.

This forum is full of sheep

I was in the 'get fisher' camp too, but I'm starting to reconsider. Shaw should be pretty cheap after this week, I'm thinking of bringing him in and then looking at Fisher later on, possibly hoping his price dips at some stage. What do you think?

Yeah, definitely not suggesting you dump Smith. I mentioned Krak because of his break even, but you'd know better than me how Yarran and your other forwards are placed in that regard. You'll probably want to upgrade another defender at some point but just pick your spot in terms of when someone you want is at a good price and someone you've got is ready to be upgraded. That's how I'm going about it anyway, but it is my first season :)

Re: Round 15 trades

Yeh im gonna do Krak to Fyfe, i like Fyfe, and i reckon he will poll a massive score vs the Gold Coast, so i want to cash in

It depends what you are going for. If it's league I probably wouldn't touch Fisher.

If it's overall all the top players already have him. If you already have a fair few POD's then grab him. Otherwise do something different.

FYI - Shaw is even more popular than Fisher.

Going purely for league - no where near it for overall, but I'm 3rd in my league with friends so I've got a chance :p

team:

D: Deledio, newman, gibbs, goddard, broughton, lower, puopolo, buckley, delaney, strauss
M: pendles, pav(usually fwd), judd, ablett, swan, boak, mundy, hibberd, mzungu
R: cox, smith, hale, campbell
F: rok, sylvia, goodes, franklin, Nroo, krak, smith, rioli, lynch, pitt

9 trades, $415,400

basic plan is/was Fisher in, Mundy > Priddis, then wait a while and try and upgrade another back to Shaw, then a forward to someone then maybe look at the rucks, Smith > Mumford or something.

If you've got any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

And every week you don't have him you lose more and more ground on the leaders

Re: Round 15 trades

Who should be 1st to go:?

Lower or Stanley?

both have pretty good JS.

I'd say Stanley, but I'm biased, Lower has been kicking butt for me all season and I'm planning on keeping him.

I guess it depends what you're after, they are both very even really. Lower has a slightly higher average, and probably plays more in the center than Stanley but he has no byes left and less competition for points (Freo have a bunch of high scorers, but also a lot of injuries.)

Don't think you can really mess it up either way, if you're thinking of making one a keeper I'd vote Lower, if you're gonna cut both at some point then perhaps Lower has peaked - but I'd tip him for a bigger score this weekend when the two teams meet.
