Backline players have been CRAP this year, but I think I still need to go with the best available for a replacement, so it will be

Hey, team's in good shape, especially considering you've got 12 trades left!

After looking up some numbers I think I'd go with Smith > Fyfe as the upgrade. As with an earlier poster you're still looking at multiple upgrades so getting value for money is important. I've got ROK and been happy with him but his price is very high at the moment and Fyfe with a higher avg is 25k cheaper and no byes. The reason I say Smith instead of Darling is merely that he's probably reached his peak in terms of price. Also, when the hawks get back players he may sit out where as Darling seems to be in the Eagles best 22.

Also, Watson seems a popular inclusion this week but I'd be looking at Talia only because even with injuries the Blues have waited a long time to give Watson his 3rd game.

That's all just my opinion though, good luck with whatever you decide!

Barring a monumental form slump, i can't see Smith being displaced. He gives us that run and carry which few others do. Capable of knocking out some great scores too.

I'd definitely be turning Darling > Fyfe of those options.

Thanks for the quick response eth. I was leaning the same way with the Doggies coming into form, which may lead to youngsters being dropped towards the end of the season. Holding off a week from bringing in a defender for Shaw so I can get Suckling. Newman is tempting with the Gold Coast this week, but Hawthorns draw in the long run looks much better.

I know right? After my big spiel a couple of pages back about upgrading Krak etc lucky i didn't pull the trigger! Lucky for me everyone in my league except for the bloke on tap has him too.
This week:
H.Shaw(Serioulsy not the sharpest tool in the shed I don't reckon) > Newman
And then use my last 7 trades as wisely as possible(hope for the best)

I know this will haunt me, but his lack of a bye and decent recent form pushed him over the line. Hopefully he will get lots of midfield time.

Okay just looking for a bit of convincing over this trade as I feel it could pay off in the short term but hurt later on.

Sandi > Keeffe

Now this would leave me with $584,600 and 4 trades. It makes sense that to avoid wasting trades doing One down/one up, I could use my remaining 4 trades for huge upgrades/sideways, instead of finding low priced players that I won't need for cover or cashing in.

My ruck combo would be Cox, Smith (Bailey, Keeffe)
