In what became a bit of a clinic, Pure Grunt did a demolition job on Jewelsbon. - 97m from 0 to 97. (A week in the 2's may have done him good!)
In an epic battle, Firestarter and Eat Fresh were evenly matched. - 99m from 0 to 99. (But Eat Fresh won the hitouts 13 to 9 ...)

Good engagement against the Swampies, which is no surprise. This fixture is usually one of the most entertaining games of the season with our favourite opponents and this one was no different.

Firstly, those who featured in the voting though weren't ultimately the Award winner:

I thought the Warriors inaccuracy was going to let us back into this game but it turns out we were just as good at the inaccuracy thing. SpecialBruce (28 touches), royboy2 (26 touches and 1.2 goals), judge judy (20 touches, 9 hitouts, 5 tackles, 2 goals), and Phar Ace (20 touches). Plenty of goals were shared around, led by TheGoatBaron with 5.2, judge judy and fitzroybowiedog with a couple each, and 3KZ is Football, HinkleysHeroes, Mooch, and royboy2 all getting in on the act. Special mention to Dicky Fitzwell who never left the hotdog stand for the full 100 minutes.

Pffft. Pfft. Well that sucked. Despite 5 goals shared by TheGoatBaron and Roylion, a whole bunch of posession for 3KZ is Football, DERRINALPHIL getting plenty of hands on the ball at the stoppages and around the ground, and Phar Ace tackling like a fishing box*, we were well off the pace today. Thanks to the Furies shocking accuracy, the game appeared to be some sort of contest - at least on the scoreboard - but in reality it was as good as over at quarter time.

That loss knocks us out of the 8 on percentage - we're in the middle of a group of 7 teams on 3 wins - and we have the 2nd worst percentage of that group by virtue of our low points scored. We're back home next week against the Old Bastards. That one is a must win or we could be second last in 7 days time.
