Round 14 Bespoke Barrels Award....
The Barrels voting system needed to be sent out for recalibration following our Round 14 clash with the Furies.
While we received some logical, indeed sensible suggestions - such as Ned_Flanders , Tigerturbulance and anyone but TJASTA - we also received votes for fitzroybowiedog (that guy can do anything) and repeated suggestions for ClarkeM - who for some highly entertaining reason invaded the thread and abducted Mooch .
Either the Roys faithful have found the hallowed storage place of:
Or we were all just drunk at the giddy heights we had reached at this point of the season.
As a result, in true dictatorial style leadership - the winner this week was Ned_Flanders !! Congratulations Ned !!

Round 14 Update (I'll try to catch up this week I promise !!!)
Ladder leaders (at this point in time) the Furies were the next to visit the Roys, in a real test of our Premiership credentials. Which for some unknown reason - hadnt been revoked at this point in time....

And despite Runk being a player to watch (and why not, with those legs and flowing locks, streaming down the field with the Qooty !!!) - sadly - even after jumping out to an early lead, and a complete and utter freak occurence:
3 : 10.55 {rHFF} - _Mike_ bounces the ball.
3 : 10.59 {rFP} - No-look handpass to TedDougChris.
3 : 11.07 {rFP} - TedDougChris steadies himself and has a shot ....
3 : 11.15 {rFP} - What a goal from TedDougChris.
We went down in a high, scoring game - with full stats here.

1 : 5.12 {lHBF} - Watch out! Oh! PurpleGreenRed has laid Tigerturbulance out flat.
Fantastic effort here to lay out the opposition skipper, well done PurpleGreenRed !!
TedDougChris 's Open Goal and Miss of the Week:
At one stage it was 7.1 to 8.0 - with the only behind being rushed, so no criticism early on... in fact it was 13.3 at 3 QT, and when even I'm kicking goals - we can probably skip this for a week.
JackNah_8 's Half Hat of the Week:
He might have won the Barrels, but he also won Funniest Home Videos for this effort....
3 : 17.16 {C} - Draws a man and then with hands to Ned_Flanders.
3 : 17.17 {C} - Ned_Flanders's tripped over his own feet and Runk just has to pick the ball up next to him.
Congratulations Ned_Flanders !!
Hopefully next week would see us back on the winners list....

In a test o see who could jinx their own side the most, the Royals and Roys took to the field of battle, each unsure whether winning meant winning, or winning proved the theory that they could out-jinx the other. Both sides could make the finals at this point, both sides could potentially miss out. Which Sim-curse would prove the strongest here....
The result was perhaps, immaterial to the purpose of this post - which was to discuss the two duelling Royals who slugged it out for the games highest posting honour. Both the delightfully returning Marlowe and the looks like he has been here before Kapow!!! were in tremendous form during the match thread and received rave reviews from the Roys faithful (as well as numerous approaches from the expansion teams I'm sure....)
In the end, it was the returning Marlowe who took the honours !! Congratulations, it's been good having you back in the league !!

From these stats, our very own royboy2 appears to have been the best of the back pockets, A Bit High the best of the half back flankers, Mobbs is up there with the best of the CHB's, Runk is clearly the best centre in the league.
