Itsmyshow Award - Spammiest Poster

1658396517198.png

Well well well what do we have here? Last season Mooch wrote the following in response to Mobbs winning the IMS.

The spammiest poster award is always a bit controversial at the BJO. The club ethos is to encourage participation but that posting numbers are not the be all and end all of contribution. And our winner in season 32 has some very strong views on that.

Which is why we can say that every single one of our heroes 2,395 posts in season 32 was quality; each one a stitch in a rich tapestry of stories, historian obsession with Eastern European sport, and mostly weirdness.

So there's no doubt the heart and soul of the Roys would have heeded those words and pulled back a tad. I mean you would have thought so.

It's really no surprise dear Mobbs went for 2421 posts or 142 posts per week during the H&A. Even more incredible seeing between rounds 5-9 he only posted between 9-47 times. Every other week was over 100 though so when he got his eye in he went on to get a big score. To put it into more perspective dear Mobbs posted 50 times more per week than Wosh in second and more than double than yours truly in third.

Despite such despicable behaviour we all love you Mobbs and wouldn't have it any other way. "Grats" on winning another Itsmyshow award.

Mobbs is just trolling. It has all become clear now.

Round 7: Vs Royals (away): Roys Won: 104 - 89

An easy goal to Mooch , following good lead up play from _Mike_ opened the scoring for the Roys, in this cut throat match against the Als… Mobbs , Cats_R_Cool_4_Ever and tigs2010 then combined to extend the lead. zackah then pushed the Roys out to a healthy lead at QT.

Early on in the second term, the Roys experimented with a new hashtag…

#TedDougChrisMobbsDing ??? But it was very short lived and unsuccessful….

fitzroybowiedog then tried to introduce kneeing to the game – kneeing the ball through for a point, kneeing his opponent in the quad, kneeing the umpire who complained about it in the nuts…. But eventually, the second term broke out… Rolling All Sweet FA Forward Pocket zackah then added his second, in between a rash of behinds (no – not that). At one stage the Roys lead by 17 points, despite 12 scoring shots to 5. At this stage, both Sterge and Allikat were annoyed by the shabby goal kicking and decided to stop the silliness, both goaling to increase the Roys lead.

Allikat and two for Elmer_Judd then pushed the Roys out to a comfortable lead at the main change.

After a meandering opening to Q3, Allikat slotted a major, then JackNah_8 and Mooch then added goals to the Roys tally.

The Royals turned to desperation stakes in Q4, with Smartys Power coming on for a quick 30 second burst (Narrator: that’s what she said)

4 : .26 - <<< Smartys Power is trading places with CakeEater >>>
4 : .55 - <<< Ligma is coming on to replace Smartys Power >>>

And it worked – the Royals closing to within 4 points late in the final term. But cometh the hour, cometh the Roys - Mooch and Elmer_Judd stepping up late to seal the close victory !!

Best: 4 sets of 3’s were critical for the Roys. Mooch , zackah , Allikat and Elmer_Judd all slotted three goals. Which didn’t leave much to go around for the rest of us. Sterge , JackNah_8 , Elmer_Judd and tigs2010 all were amongst the major possession winners.

Omg I truly did not expect this. This is an incredible honour, something I have always desired over the many seasons and always it has just slipped out of reach. Until now. I am blown away - I thought I might be a candidate, but to actually .... ahhh I'm doing it again, aren't I.

Ok **** it no more typing if you hate it so much. In fact, stuff you all after this, I might even leave altogether.

But I love you.

I love you, and I need money.

(btw I lost MANY weeks of this posting thing, many to Wosh and a couple to Zevon , even one to TedDougChris - so I am not solely to blame)

Thanks tho.

Round 8: Vs Swamprats (home) : Roys Won: 87 - 72

It was Mooch’s 350th game this week, so let’s do it for Mooch !!

The Roys started slowly, although – predictably, Mooch nailed the first goal for the forces of good. But as time ticked down late in the first, it was 4 goals to 1 in favour of the Swamprats !! However, Mooch refused to accept defeat in his milestone game and the Double Z’s (Zevon and zackah ) combined to score another, closing the margin to a more respectable level at QT.

Despite the Swampies getting the first in Q2 - Sterge and Mooch goaled to keep the margin close. Lore and hotchilli then had a worst shot competition – not sure who won that particular encounter.

2 : 10.21 {lHFF} - Gives the ball to hotchilli.
2 : 10.25 {lHFF} - This could be goal of the match.
2 : 10.3 {lHFF} - That's a terrible miss.

2 : 15.49 {lHFF} - The ball is now with Lore.
2 : 15.53 {lHFF} - It might carry.
2 : 16 {lHFF} - Haha Lore completely shanked it. Lucky to be a behind.

But Elmer_Judd (very sensibly) refused to participate in the contest, levelling the scores just before HT.

Mooch won Best Behind of the Week, which pleased him greatly.

And despite some ordinary goalkicking, Lore , Elmer_Judd and tigs2010 kicked goals to narrow the margin to less than one goal at 3QT.

Allikat put the Roys in front (I think for the first time in the match) after one minute of the final term, and then we started peppering the goals. Some salt was allegedly used – but you cannot prove that….

Eventually - Allikat goaled again, to extend the Roys lead to 2 goals, before the margin was cut again. In an absolute nailbiter – the Rats then channelled their inner Roy – pegging the margin back one point at a time. Finally, with just seconds left, tigs2010 and Mooch sealed the game with two late goals.

Congratulations on a fine career so far Mooch !!

Best: tigs2010 (24 disposals, 9 HO”s and 2 goals), Zevon (21 and 8 tackles) led the midfield, Mooch kicked 4 vital goals, Mobbs and JackNah_8 were also very strong contributors.

More votes for Mobbs !!!!

In Round 8 (I have to name the Rounds now because I can't keep up with ol' Spammy Ted) it was Sterge who regaled us with his goalkicking skill. His arsekicking skill was out of fashion.
