Geez, a suspension for a painkiller would be a bit harsh. I don't like the bloke, but he doesn't deserve to have his career ended like this.
Panadeine Forte with Codeine.
Nurofen plus.
Banned.
Banned.
Easy guys. Dude has made a stupid mistake. He has also been the most hated guy in AFL for doing his thing week in week out for this club. He's one of ours
Ok didn't realise thats what happens, but surely it should still have been done last year.probably waiting on a Sample B return. Before it's official.
They advise them a positive result has been returned then confirm the test with the second sample.
Good old Codral Cold and Flu! Only thing that works for me when I'm sick. Original only but!
It's because their metabolites are similar/the same as recreational pharmacological substances and differentiating them is too much effort/removes the clear result that a clear result gives, so all are cut.Am I correct in assuming that the reason pain killers are on the banned substance list is because they can mask other PEDs in one's system? Not because they are PE themselves?
He knew it was coming the shifty prick

It means they can't tell if you took speed Friday night or an old Cold & Flu capsule.Right....
Haha, I'm guessing that means "yes, because they can hide PEDs in one's system"
So if Crowls can prove (with evidence, to the "comfortable satisfaction of the hearing panel") that:
i) The intent was not to enhance sport performance
ii) Nor was it to mask the use of PEDs
then there is the potential for a minimum reprimand with no period of ineligibility, given this is his first violation.
Good thing he's lawyered up.
By the looks of his press conference Crowley is going to be open , honest and not waste everyone's time by trying to hide anything unlike the whole essendon saga .
If essendon players are proven to have taken peptides and get off suspension then Crowley gets suspended for pain killers it would be a massive injustice .

Or hitting up the smack compared to an opiate pain killer.
By the way, does anyone know what kind of freaky sports drink Ahmed Saad was drinking if he couldn't prove i) and ii) in my above post?
Or did it contain something that was classified as "performance enhancing"?
Agreed.
You can stay.
Hence why you would take the psuedo free medication.
Hell if I was a AFL player, I wouldnt even listen to Psuedo Echo just in case.
Right....

Lock in B....it was even listed on the side of the can
How shifty is the club saw the press statement that Crowley is going to pay his own legal bill !!!! not happy JAN !!! He needs support right now and club abandons him !!!!
Last I heard he was running laps at training, still in club colours, still employed.
Not exactly abandoned now is it.
Most clubs have a doctor on call 24x7 so that is no excuse.I agree with that. It appears that players should be given a couple of painkillers authorised by the club just in case something happens out of work hours.
