The worst thing is that it was against GWS in round 17...if he was sore, surely he coulda just sat out :p Just hoping we get tribunal clarity asap

This is the end for him, but in all honesty, was finished anyway. Would only be holding back the young talent
if available for selection, same as Sylvia, the game has passed them by.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that Sylvia is not on speed or any other variation of meth.....bookmark it!

Thanks for keeping the forum open to non Dockers. We are all in fact football fans and each club has enough feral supporters to spoil it for others.

This is going to be extremely interesting in the next month as the Essendon punishment will need to be relative to what is given to Crowley.

BTW - he is not hated by all. I would hate to play on him but love his work.

It's actually better for Crowley if he engaged his own lawyer. At least you'll know that the lawyers will look out for his interest, not the clubs or someone else's.

I suspect he is queued up after Essendon.

James Hird's wife would not be a suitable suggestion as his defense attorney.

How shifty is the club saw the press statement that Crowley is going to pay his own legal bill !!!! not happy JAN !!! He needs support right now and club abandons him !!!!

Why? His actions were outside the club's normal medical procedures and as a professional, he should of known better. At one point or another, an individual will have to take responsibility of their own mistakes. IIRC St Kilda also didn't pay for Saad's bills and I am pretty sure the Eagles didn't pay for Murray Newman's. They have given him as much support as he needs and they will probably be present at his hearing (club and players).

This is different from the Essendon drug scandal. Freo did not give Crowley the painkillers.

AFL releases Crowley timeline

Sample taken 13/7

A Test 11/8

Player told A Test 18/8

B Test 11/9

Show Cause Notice 18/9

Provisional ban 25/9

Also this was interesting:

According to the AFL ... the WADA code allows players to keep playing if test positive to "specified substances".

But when it comes to forking $$$$ for legal bill !!!

When is his tribunal hearing?

The club doctor didn't prescribe the offending drug did he, all blame lays at the feet of Crowls.

He is ultimately responsible for what enters his system, no excuses.

He has chosen independent legal counsel, not the AFLPA

You'd imagine the club are pretty ticked off with him for not following club protocols.

Good old Codral Cold and Flu! Only thing that works for me when I'm sick. Original only but!
I miss that stuff so much! Only thing I can do for the flu now is stay at home & feel sorry for myself.

They can, but then any suspension can't be backdated.

There is a question to be asked:

What happens if Crowley is available and free to play round 1, 2016?
Does he stay on the list? Is he required to be delisted? Can he train at a level to be in shape for round 1 2016? Will he be able to perform a year on from now?

He is under provisional suspension since the show cause notice, it means if his penalty is minor it will back date to the start of the provisional suspension. He wont be training with the rest of the team and wont be playing.

No point de-listing him now, don't think AFL allowed Saints to replace Saad with a rookie.

He can train on his own, but not with the team.

Depends on the outcome of the hearing, if it is going to be similar to Saad's penalty then my guess is Crowley might retire. Hard to sit out that period of time when you are over 30, but at least his body will get time to rest if he decides to come back.

The West Coast supporters commenting in here a far too nice and intelligent to be West Coast supporters. Credit.
