If anyone has the means, I really think the results of this poll, plus the posts of the dozen or so people who have said they will not renew their memberships if Griffen stays (though I disagree with their actions), should be passed on to Gordon/Garlick.

Like Turtle3, really hope the presser was for purposes of negotiation. If there's a genuine thinking from Gordon and Garlick that Griffen can stay, then they're they're not on the pulse with how strongly the supporter base feels about it and the ramifications for membership next year.

So the one 'No' vote was an accident right ThirdLegUp
Yes the screen must have jumped up as it was loading. I would like that changed, i am dry retching just looking at that no vote. I will not be renewing my memberships so long as that rat is out our club.

Must go untenable for him to stay, can't say he wants out and actually nominate where he wants to go then turn around and stay different if it was kept in house or even if he had said publicly that he couldn't remain with Macca there but to say I want out to GWS must go, no coming back, break at leg at Gws mate literally.

Dogs54 did you vote no so that i wouldn't stand alone as the idiot who accidentally picked the wrong option....or have you fallen on your head recently?

Surely it was Griff (and other senior players) or the coach? Now that the coach is gone I suspect Griff will stay.

It's like walking in on your missus with your best mate and your brother and then taking her back. We need to maintain some illusion of self respect otherwise we're cooked

No choice but for the club to trade him. You cannot walk out and have discussions with GWS during the season and expect to be welcomed back. He was exceptional last year and was one of the best in the AFL but that is only 1 exceptional year where he reached his potential.

If we can manage to get a great deal we need to take it.

I voted no.

Firstly I do not know what Griffen said and I would like to know in his words not from Gordon & co as they will put their own spin on the story to protect themselves.

Second, without Griff's stance we would not have known the extent of the problem and I'm sure it is not limited to a few senior players. Gordon himself admitted that he discussed Macca with Roughy, Moz and Stringer, do you think they gave a strong endorsement of Macca.

Third, time to move. Griff made a mistake in how he handled certain aspects of this issue no need to hang him. We all make mistakes.

Lastly what a **** up by Gordon, Garlick and Grant they should have none much earlier about the communication issues and taken action well before this occurred. This also shows Griff had little confidence in the these three.

St Kilda had the same issue with Scott Watters. Riewoldt was about to walk until Watters was sacked. The only difference is it wasn't made public and Riewoldt didn't formally request a trade in the public domain.

Understandably, we all have opinions but we really don't know the details. Perhaps your coach was an absolute d'head.

Not at all I stand by my post. Not sure where you get off calling me an idiot because my opinion differs from yours but it does reflect your maturity and experience in these difficult circumstances.

Nick almost went to Collingwood, correct?

DIdn't call you an idiot, called myself one. But your welcome to take offense at me against myself if you like

He has to go. Whether he was right or wrong in his assessment of Macca (and he may well have been right), he can't conduct himself in that manner. **** him off and start fresh.

First player I want to see have his name removed from his locker. Happy to do it personally.

I have two sons who had this pr1ck as their favourite player. Explained to them that you will meet people in life that completely betray your trust - Griffen is one of these people.

We also have fridge magnets of many players on our fridge, even kept the Lake one. Griffen one went in the bin last night.

Would have been a bloody tough conversation. Hope they're holding up okay.
