Ryan O'Keefe asks for trade

Nick Dal Santo is old?? Isn't the guy 24 or 25?

Clubs should just get rid of all players as soon as they turn 23. That's the way to go. Nothing like a draft pick.

My Mistake, i meant why would St Kilda want an old player...

Sydney has to remember that if it cant secure O'keefe, and he wants to move, they aren't in the box seat anymore, and would have to take the best offer they can get.

Given Collingwood are reportedly interested but have ruled out Didak and our 1st round pick I have been struggling to find a suitable trade for O'Keefe.

If he passed a medical (obviously) would the Swans have any interest in Rusling and our 2nd round pick? With Hall and O'Loughlin both over 30 and Hall maybe on the move another forward would have to be on your shopping list.

My apologies if this has appeared in the first 32 pages of this thread!

rusling was quite good, but geez he could turn out be a super-dud or a super-star. we would take the punt if he was offered as a sweetener along with anthony.

anthony + rusling = o'keefe

no draft picks.

We have a surplus of KP's but not enough to offer both of those guys. Anthony is definitely to be retained IMO.

If you don't want draft picks I can only go down the traditional Collingwood supporter route and offer Johnson or Rhyce Shaw (or Ryan Cook) and I'm not sure either of us want me to do that. :D

how do collingwood players rate danny stanley? would they let him and rusling for o'keefe?
although collingwood drafted stanley originally to take over burns' spot as the hard bash and crash mid, and now burns' has left, what will stanley do? can he step up?

O'keefe could cause problems with this rumour that has been going around about a 3 way deal involving saints, dogs + swans

Dogs -> Hall
Saints -> Ray + Swans 3rd round pick
Swans -> Kosi

I like Rusling. I think him plus rd 2 pick for ROK would be suitable.

Not sure why Saints would do that. Do they have another ruckman lined up?

 Saints lose majorly in that one, epic fail, try again

lol, I would take that trade in a second. Anthony is a star, tbh, i can't see the pies agreeing to this deal.

Farren Ray will be heading home. I think West Coast is a better chance then Fremantle or maybe it all depends on Daniel Kerr heading to Victoria and Robert Warnock as well.

Kerr to Carlton
Andrew Walker to Western Bulldogs
Ray to West Coast
and maybe some draft picks in there as well.

Warnock to Carlton
Andrew Walker to Western Bulldogs
Ray to Fremantle
in this one it would be a clean swap for each club.

the swans lose too, the only winner there is the doggies. Why would we give up our 3rd round pick and hall for kosi? and the doggies only have to give up ray for hall?

Yep, only winner is the W Bulldogs in that 'deal'. Why would the Saints give up one of their very few back up rucks for Ray

Fair enough,I guess it makes sense if Ray heads back to WA.

So in that deal above, the Eagles end up with Ray and 'some draft picks' for Kerr
Gee, they'd want to be decent draft picks, Seeing as their initial asking price is 2 top 10 picks

Farren Ray is a handy player and a top 5 draft pick he as not really had a chance to show his skills in the midfield. With a midfield that the Western Bulldogs have got such as Cross,West,Cooney and so on. but he no daniel kerr YET

whatz his trade value???? he was orignally from Essendon

I would say Ryan O'Keefe + Pick #30 for Carlton's Pick #6

Sydney use Pick #6 and pick#12 and get kerr. Everybody wins, except the only problem is sydney cant use the draft till their 3rd round and they end up paying their first, second round pick and O'Keefe for Kerr. Heavy price for troubled player.

Sydney only has got one more year left to have crack at a premiership so i dont think Dainel Kerr will or wants to go there. So maybe it time to let O'Keefe & Hall go and get something for them why they still can.

Unless he goes to Hawthorn, Geelong or the Bulldogs, it realy makes very little difference. There's no way of knowing if a team like the Saints, Kangaroos or Collingwood (for example) are any closer to winning a flag than Sydney, before Kerr retires.

I would agree to that from a Carlton point of view, ROK and 30 for pick 6.
