Is there actually a source for that? I have not read it anywhere.

Fairfax Media understands Ryder's management has been in talks with both Brisbane and Greater Western Sydney with the in-form ruckman showing a preference to move to a non-traditional football town.

Any chance we could convince him that Glory, Force, Wildcats, Heat, Fever and Scorchers constitutes a "non-afl" town?

The silly season has certainly started hasn't it. I guess we can add this one to the tally:

Number of talls ranging from high to mediocre quality on other teams' lists that have been linked to Freo in the past 3 years: 147*

Number of talls ranging from high to mediocre quality on other teams' lists that have actually come to Freo in the past 3 years: 1

Number of talls ranging from high to mediocre quality on other teams' lists that have actually played a game with Freo in the past 3 years: 0

* For the satirically challenged, please don't ask me to list them, it's a joke**

** Actually it's not a joke, it probably is every tall player in the league.

Ryder is a great player but as others have said he wants to go North. Speculation is that he has been offered a nice juicy deal and is using the new walk out clause as an excuse. Would be karma if he went to Brisbane after the whole Mal Michael affair.

The AFL is doing it's best to make WA a non-AFL town. Surely that counts for something???

Has Griff been on our list for more than 3 yrs. Wow.

Heard from a source not prone to idle speculation that Fremantle are the front runners for Paddy Ryder.

would be a boost for us no doubt about that but we havnt had much luck with used and abused players lately :/ speaking of that would we take Mitch Robinson from carlton if he was offered

Would prefer Carlisle if Essendon players are beginning to crack each others heads open to feast on the goo inside.
