Well, Chipmunk here again for the Round 13 nomination.

Round 13 was always going to be a round with heated debate. The question is, who would win between BLUEALLTHRU , Hai_Newman, Elmer_Judd and FootyGuy13 . This was a round where we witnessed some star posting performances in the threads. This was also a round where FootyGuy13 stepped in and wrote the OPs, which is amazing for a rookie.

So we sat down and debated. And debated. And debated...


Eventually, we came to a decision. It was not unanimous, but the winner of the nomination for Round 13 is BLUEALLTHRU !

I sat with the winner and his Captain TedDougChris for a chat.


Firstly, to TedDougChris :

1. Congratulations for your team's third Torch nomination. How does it feel to have all of your rookies now with a Torch nomination?

Thanks Chipmunk !! I think they've all deserved recognition, they've all had good debut seasons and have brought a lot of energy to the league. BLUEALLTHRU has been a big contributor to our match threads (and everyone else's apparently !! ) and he's been a slightly more difficult role, as a young CHF in a league that focuses attention only on the midfielders. So I think this is deserved recognition for him !!

2. How did you find BLUEALLTHRU and what does he bring to the Roys camp?

Someone (I'm blaming Mooch ) left the bar door open one night at the BJO after a few drinks and I came back the next morning to find him sleeping there. He refused to leave and was slightly belligerent, so we came to a compromise where he stayed and looked after the bar and occasionally called people a Campaigner in our match threads. To be honest, I didn't expect him to call me a Campaigner , or to do it so frequently - but he's clearly a better negotiator than either myself or Dodoro.....

3. How would you characterise his posting style?

Mixed - he switches between calling people up to invite them over for a beer, then abusing them the minute they walk in the door. He's done some good work internally, with good memories of the old Fitzroy days for some of our veterans, which hasn't gone unnoticed - but doesn't necessarily get the publicity it deserves.

4. We're reaching the end of the season and many of the rookies will be considering an EKA push. What advice do you have for rookies both during finals and awards season?

Bribery.... It's the only answer....

I'll take that payment in nuts, TDC.

And then I spoke to our nominee BLUEALLTHRU . Having previously been critical of this award, I went straight to the point!

Hi Everyone, I'm neither of the above. I'm just a bloody good barman that doesn't mind a scrap. The torch is obviously desperate to award me this. At least it shuts some of the minions up whose whole life revolves around winning this pointless piece of sh*t.

2. This is the third of the Roys rookies (with RobR and Supersuns) to get a Torch nom. How will you all be celebrating? And just how do Accountants celebrate these days ??

I'm the lucky last hey, well I'll be buying everyone drinks down at the BJO on anyone else's tab bar mine.
RobR will drink his keg of stout and Supersuns will drink his fair share and wash it down with a bucket of that KFC sh*t. I'll probs end up in Banhammer but that's okay as I have some good friends in there.

I wouldn't have a clue how accountants celebrate mate, probably rigging a retirement homes bingo night Barrybran . ******* weak gutted animals those campaigners are.

3. You said that you could give your award to Genghis Tron for lighting his crack pipe. When should he expect it in the post?

After I've done the dance of the flamers with it (stuff toilet paper up your clacker and leave a trail behind you and then light it) I'll hand it to the campaigner.

4. What's your plans for overtaking me in serial_thrilla 's Gatecrasher rankings?

I'll do my best mate, time permitting in RL. In all seriousness though I'm a staunch believer in gatecrashing threads as it mixes sh*t up and helps to enhance dull threads.

5. What do you think your chances are for the EKA?

Absolutely zero, who cares campaigner!

6. Have you collected the set of calling people a campaigner yet ?

Not yet but there is plenty of time, in between suspensions.
