The Grand Final: it's the only game that matters. While you do need the entire rest of the season to get up to this point and figure out who the best 2 teams are, it's only when you get to the Premiership Decider that you have a realistic chance of winning the flag. So when the 2 teams ended up being the Gumbies and the Las Vegas Bears, you knew that this game was going to be memorable no matter hwat.
You never want to pass up a long-awaited chance to win a premiership since you don't know how long it'll be until the next chance arises. So either the defences of both teams tried extra hard to not have any points scored on them or the forwards were feeling the pressure in front of goals in the first quarter as both teams were struggling to get the ball going at the start of the match.
However, the more we got into the match, the more the Gumbies started dominating. The Gumbies' midfield was passing the ball better, their forwards were kicking straighter and the defense continued suffocating the Bears. Before you realised it, the game went from being a tug-of-war of no one giving an inch to the Gumbies having twice the score than what Las Vegas had.
But we know that already, and we know that nobbyiscool won the Deestroy Medal, what you're reading this for is what the Mobbs Predictor thought was the Best on Ground based on the statistics. Well, the answer is...
...that the Sim got the 3-2-1 right. Cap being the only Bear in the votes reflects how Las Vegas went during the Grand Final while the Gumbies had only 1 person in the votes who scored votes in either the Qualifying or Preliminary finals. Which means it's quite obvious who is the Finals MVP.
Yes nobby, you can stop being impatient, you are the Season 36 Finals MVP and the first Gumby to be the Finals MVP. nobby was the only person to jump Pugsley after the Grand Final, with moginie GWS Goose and Hate rounding out the Top 5.
And there you have it for Season 36. The Predictor made the bold guess of a 3-way tie for the Mobbs Medal, we ended up 1 vote off of a 5-way tie on the night and we had a rookie be Mr. December. Congrats to those who won and we'll see you next season.
