The deadline for team sheet submission is the Thursday 11:59 PM Western Australia Time before a match unless stated otherwise by the Administrator
This is a great amendment to the rules, well done KP. Have been calling for this for a while now as it's very unfair for those in WA to have a Thursday 9pm deadline for half of the year when match threads sometimes aren't even up until Tuesday afternoon.

Maybe this is what the OOBs meant by "bringing more rookies to the league"? List management incompetence leading to other teams getting a crack at the few rookies they manage to scrounge.
Jesus mate the off season has done nothing for you lol.

4D) Free Agency

Off-Season

Free agency occurs between seasons from the grand final to squad submission date. Free agents may only be signed with permission. Player movement between clubs is unrestricted with permission of the player.

Players who are new to the league signed during the offseason are required to make a post on the main Sweet FA forum confirming their participation with their club before officially being added to the squad.

Any player movement not specified in the rules is not considered legal. In the event of uncertainty, the club must contact the administrator for consideration with the committee.
Hello Kennedy Parker, let's take a look at a scenario please as I see a slight dilemma with the way in which these rules are written.

Let's say the player Mobbs is a free agent, he was last listed for the Furies but has since been delisted.

Wonders LG speaks with Mobbs and agrees to sign him for the new season.

Mobbs is then added to the Wonders squad for Season 37 but has not yet made a public post confirming that he's playing for the Wonders. Now, the Wonders LG has confirmed that Mobbs has confirmed his intent to play with the Wonders in private but there's nothing public to confirm such.

As he's not a "new" player, Mobbs isn't required to make a post on the main Sweet FA forum before being added to the squad, or are they? The first line says "with permission" - but why is it one application of permission for "existing" players and another for "new". Do we accept permission in private in this scenario? If so, how do we then police this with teams claiming that they've signed people who then go inactive?

Any team could have signed any player delisted by other teams last season and those players could have not posted to confirm this - and technically, my understanding is that this would be okay and accepted. Do you see where this rabbit hole goes?

String Cheese Reaction GIF by MOODMAN
See, I can’t be you because I’m not a big cheese fan. I do like a nice Brie or Camembert or a really hard peppery pepato but only on special occasions.

So fumbler has not informed the Dragons he’s moving, and he hasn’t been on the site for nearly 3 months…
But he’s been officially listed as an OBB…is that right or did I miss something?

Spot on Wosh. Have a carrot.

🥕

Maybe we should all steal some of their inactives before deadline? I promise that they gave us permission.
You think that Fumbler is the only case like this right now? Because if you do, you're wrong ;).

I got no idea when but i doubt Turbo would list him without consent.
Ok, just saying it must have been ages ago because he hasn’t been on the site at all for a long time, his last post was in the ‘mega thread’

It just makes it a bit different than the others, since he didn’t inform the Dragons either.

That's assuming consent was given on this site.

Regardless, do you think that players such as Fumbler should have to post publicly their intent to switch clubs during off-season?
