Here’s a sliding doors for you:

At the end of 2019, when Darren Burgess left Arsenal he approached Port Adelaide as he wanted to return to the only AFL club he had worked at before. David Koch told him no thanks, as he was still salty about how he had left the club mid-season to Arsenal 2 Years Prior.

Burgess then gets the job at Melbourne, spends 2 years there (With Oliver) winning them a flag, but then decides he wants to move back to SA where most of his family is. He approaches Port again but Koch tells him no again, as Koch holds grudges forever.

So instead of coming back to Port, he gets the Crows job instead, and his relationship with Oliver will be the main reason he comes to the crows if it happens.

Oliver comes to the crows and the crows are a genuine premiership threat.

Therefore, David Koch being a petty ******** may be the reason the Adelaide Crows win there third premiership…

Exactly. Everyone gets that the competition is stacked against us but we don't give ourselves the best chance. Sydney and West Coast do so much right and have only won 2 premierships each since we entered the competition. We have no chance of success in our current guise.
