Dalrymple is the best list mgmt/recruiting guy in the industry bar none. I think it's a shit decision in isolation though. Toce is a ripper, but if we don't have Dalrymple coming across I think it's pretty shit.

Agreed, remains to be seen what happens next. But I guess the right time of year to do it, give the new guy months to get his feet under the desk.

I guess if he keeps blaming and sacking staff, punters will think he's "ruthless" and it keeps the heat off him.

If not and we end up with another mates rate hire, then it's a poor and questionable decision. Toce is good at what he does.

Would very much doubt we sack a guy who appears to have been very good at his job without having someone else in place.
