Would very much doubt we sack a guy who appears to have been very good at his job without having someone else in place.

Old St.Kilda maybe, but not now.
We've still got Lethers at the club so anything is possible

I don't know much about the guy but even a harsh critic like me has acknowledged our list is better than it has been for 10 years, if they don't have a gun lined up id say its one stupid decision

Lethlean is certainly making his mark as CEO. Absolutely ruthless. Something this club has been missing for a decade.
Ruthlessness was moving on Ratten when things weren’t working.

Moving on Toce who seems to be a very competent list manager seems to be at best a risky decision and at worst a complete ****up.

None of us are involved internally so no clue what was happening behind the scenes but fmd not sure about this at all

Very hard to gauge what's going on in these scenarios. Also very difficult to evaluate Toce's impact. He's been in charge for two drafts. Phillipou was a pretty obvious selection at 10. Hotton, Keeler, Van Es yet to play. The latest draft clearly years too early to evaluate. Not to say he hasn't done well. Also far too early to judge critically.

If this happens.

Thats an upgrade - even if Toce has done a bang up job

I rate Dalrymple but looks a retrograde move. He was great 15 years ago. Don't know why we are messing with what's working.

Was the SA guy that nabbed Wilkie and Sharman with loose change before that. He has been great.

I don't get this. Dalrymple has a good record, but so does Toce, he's just newer. In time, his standing would have been the equal of Dalrymple's. It was working, wasn't it?

Maybe there was some strain between toce and sos in the last period, but if not it seems foolish.

Ah well I guess we'll see, but got a bad feeling about this.

is rated as one of if not the best in the business at his job.

Thats very far from past his prime by 15 years.
Hopefully can do the same without an academy to pick from.
Sydney have always been astute though, right back from when they “stole” Buddy from the GWS.

Doubt Lethlean had much input in this, more like a Misson- Lyon-SOS decision!
As supporters, we tend to go off a bit half cocked on people getting the push…there was backlash over Silvagni getting the list managers job, backlash over Lyon replacing Ratten…on Misson getting the top football department job!
Let’s keep our powder dry and see what happens.
